Candidate "CALCULATOR" -- Gotta try this !
Candidate Calculator ^ | Today | David Osborne

Posted on 09/23/2007 11:06:54 PM PDT by davidosborne

http://www.vajoe.com/candidate_calculator.html

I played around with this and answered all the questions the OPPOSITE and I was told my candidate was Dennis Kucinich... Then I went back and answered all the question CORRECTLY and got Duncan Hunter...

So I guess Duncan Hunter is the OPOSITE of Dennis Kucinich according to my political thinking..

TRY IT...

Well, apparently I’m only 96% in tune with Fred. But I’m 97% in tune with Mitt. Surprise, surprise.

But I am 30.19% in agreement with Hillary. So that should give her at least some way to spin her ‘support’ amongst Red America.

Interesting. I only tweaked the yes/no buttons, ignoring the how important function. I’m:

Tommy Thompson with 82%
Joe Biden with 73%
Rudy Guliani with 73%
Chris Dodd with 68%

LOL - Don’t be discouraged my FRiend

There are other factors to consider when choosing who to vote for to be Commander in Chief, agreeing on non-defense related issues is great but secondary IMHO. All things considered, Duncan Hunter is BY FAR the best candidate in the race IMHO..

I must be doing something wrong...
It’s not telling me who I match with, only lets me expand the ‘composite candidate’ and the scoring legend.
(Hunter isn’t in the composite list at all, does that mean he is my match?)
Can anybody tell me what I’m doing wrong?

Each Time I take this the numbers change slightly.. so obviously I didn't answer the questions the same way each time.. this time I wrote down my answers..

Duncan Hunter... 87.34%
Mitt Romney..... 84.18%
Tom Tancredo.... 82.28%
Fred Thompson... 72.15%

I find all these numbers very interesting.. I think to add more "validity" we should all post how we answered each question, this would really open ourselves up for some REAL discussions on the "ISSUES"

I will start....

Abortion Rights.......... No....High.... *LIFE of Mother ONLY*
Death Penalty......... Yes.... High... *Don't do the CRIME*
No Child Left Behind..... No..... Medium...... *we prefer to HomeSchool, but Homeschooling is not for everybody*
Embryonic Stem Cell Research..... No..... High... *Equal to abortion in my view*
ANWR Drilling......... Yes..... High......*Reduce reliance on Foreign sources*
Kyoto Protocol....... No..... High...... *Sorry not buying "Global Warming"
Assault Weapons Ban...... No....High...... *Any questions see 2nd Ammendment*
Gun Background Checks....No..... Low..... *Only to determine if prior conviction of felony, takes 2 seconds..* Support "SHALL ISSUE" concept for CCW
Patriot Act...... Yes..... High......*it's the REAL WORLD out there folks*
Guantanamo........ Yes.....High....* I assumed this is generic for holding suspected terrorist*
Water Boarding of Captives......Yes...... High.....*WHATEVER it takes to get the information vital to our NATIONAL SECURITY*
Citizen Path for Illegals.... No..... High.... *KEYWORD - ILLEGAL.. Citizen path for LEGAL IMMIGRANTS - ABSOLUTELY !
Border Fence....... Yes.....High... *BUILD IT NOW !! It's the LAW**
Internet Neutrality.......YES...Medium.... **keep the internet UNRESTRICTED..... No good argument to favor "regulation" of the internet at this time.. if your use does not affect my use than leave it alone**
Iran Sanctions...... Yes......High....a good start
Iran Military Action...... Yes.....High...... now that's more like it..
Support Iraq War..... Yes... High....central to War on Terror !! -- Baghdad is the key - make no mistake about it.
Increase Minimum Wage.... No... Medium.... State issue IMHO....
Same Sex Marriage....No......High.... issue is out of control.. U.S. Constitutional ammendment needed to stop the madness
Universal Health Care.......No..... High.... See Canada, doesn't work..
Free Trade...... No...... Medium.....I support FAIR TRADE to be exact.. see China for example of UNFAIR trade.
School Vouchers....... Yes.......Medium......Step in the right direction to reduce government CONTROL of our kids education..
Privatizing Social Security.... Yes......High......DO IT NOW

Remember there is more to supporting a candidate that just how High/med/low a particular issue is on your list.. that’s why I suggested posting your responses to the questions in order to get the heart of the issue debate..
