HOLY OBAMA: 'WE CAN CREATE KINGDOM ON EARTH'

GREENVILLE, South Carolina (CNN) — After speaking to an evangelical church on Sunday in this traditionally conservative South Carolina city, Sen. Barack Obama said that Republicans no longer have a firm grip on religion in political discourse.

"I think its important particularly for those of us in the Democratic Party to not cede values and faith to any one party," Obama told reporters outside the Redemption World Outreach Center where he attended services.

"I think that what you're seeing is a breaking down of the sharp divisions that existed maybe during the nineties, when at least in politics the perception was that the Democrats were fearful of talking about faith, and on the other hand you had the Republicans who had a particular brand of faith that often times seemed intolerant or pushed people away," he said.

During the nearly two hour service that featured a rock band and hip-hop dancers, Obama shared the floor with the church's pastor, Ron Carpenter. The senator from Illinois asked the multiracial crowd of nearly 4,000 people to keep him and his family in their prayers, and said he hoped to be "an instrument of God."

"Sometimes this is a difficult road being in politics," Obama said. "Sometimes you can become fearful, sometimes you can become vain, sometimes you can seek power just for power's sake instead of because you want to do service to God. I just want all of you to pray that I can be an instrument of God in the same way that Pastor Ron and all of you are instruments of God."

He finished his brief remarks by saying, "We're going to keep on praising together. I am confident that we can create a Kingdom right here on Earth."

Whose kingdom? If any Republican said anything like this it would be played up by the media as a sure sign that they wanted to impose an outright Christian theocracy on the USA. Bet they won’t touch this with a ten foot pole.

Ain’t it special? Democrats can fund raise and do political speeches at any church they want and no one in the media bats an eye.
Should a Republican wear a campaign button to church on Sunday he is denounced in the press and the church is investigated by the IRS.
Ah, crap read the tag line. It never changes anymore.

“Senator, I serve Jesus Christ. I know Jesus Christ. Jesus is a friend of mine. Senator, you’re not the Lord Jesus Christ.”

1 Corinthians 4:20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

Barack, that is supernatural power. The Kingdom of God means the end of sickness, disease, current economic system, ALL political systems, and everything else associated with man’s fall, including the last enemy death. With that in mind, are you sure you don’t want to reconsider your statement.

This a fundamentally anti-Christian message.

This is just as creepy as Bill Clinton talking in 1992 about the “new covenant”. When Democrats promise, in religious catchwords, to be the new messiah, their pseudo-Christianity generally pulls in the clueless Democrats who think they’re voting for someone “religious” or “good”.

Totally scary. . .

The Democrat's buddies at CNN have removed the link.

They are covering for Obama because they know his statement was political poison (as well as being blasphemous).

Obama told an evangelical church in South Carolina: “I am confident we can create a Kingdom right here on Earth.”

HE IS TALKING ABOUT JIHAD!!!!!

The first part of this statement is the INTERNAL struggle.

“Sometimes this is a difficult road being in politics. Sometimes you can become fearful, sometimes you can become vain, sometimes you can seek power just for power’s sake instead of because you want to do service to God.”

The SECOND part is about the EXTERNAL struggle.

“I just want all of you to pray that I can be an instrument of God in the same way that Pastor Ron and all of you are instruments of God . . . We’re going to keep on praising together. I am confident that we can create a Kingdom right here on Earth.”

There are 2 jihads, he talks about them both in this paragraph.

Obama is a Muslim.

Give me a candidate with strong Judeo-Christian morals and values who keeps his religion as a private matter. The GOP made a deal with the devil when they made evangelicals such a strong part of their public face. We’d have a lot less libertarians and a few more Republicans if we kept religion as a private matter. If the Dems want to become the party of religion they will find it’s going to bite them in the butt when all the separation of church and state folks flee for third parties.
