____________can't get elected President until he rises to a higher echelon than "Congressman."

Wrong.

All it needs is for every single person that voted for Bush to vote for him now. Stop the RINOism.

As for the issue of executive experience...it appears that Rumsfeld was constantly flummoxed by Hunter's superior knowledge and grasp of critical defense details that were simply beyond Rummy. This is not to put Rummy down, love the guy, but to recognize that executive experience can be realized even in a legislative body.

Wrong.

Really?

Name the last Congressman that wasn't either Speaker or Minority Leader that even seriously contended for a Presidential nomination. I've got all day.

As for the issue of executive experience...it appears that Rumsfeld was constantly flummoxed by Hunter's superior knowledge and grasp of critical defense details that were simply beyond Rummy.

(Snicker!) Ahem...Rumsfeld had no executive experience. I'm not talking about corporate experience, I am talking about Executive experience, as in "Executive Branch." As in Governor, Mayor, or President.

Check your civics textbook.

Think slick willie. Plenty of exec experience. Pathetic president. Same with Carter. Maybe we can get Governor Perry or the mayor of Dogpatch.

Executive experience has nothing to do with it. Wisdom, knowledge of history and temperament. The ONLY one who is qualified to be CIC out of the box is Hunter. Liberal mayors, liberal governors, moderate senators ALL suck.

I love Taiwan, and unlike the Communist China government, they have good morals.

“Taiwan people urged not to go to China for transplants
2006/10/15
TAIPEI, CNA

SNIP

Explaining Taiwan’s existing laws regulating citizens receiving organ transplants in China, Chou warned that it is possible for them to be charged with murder, or complicity in murder, if it is discovered that their organ transplants had been the cause of an individual’s execution or murder. Echoing Chou’s remarks, Chen urged Taiwanese patients to be very cautious in receiving organ transplants in China, otherwise they might be “killing another person in order to save their own lives without even knowing it.”’

So, anyway, Laura Ingraham said to Romney, what about Communist China’s human rights abuses. Romney said, yes, they are bad (I’m paraphrasing) - but YET Romney didn’t back off on wanting a partnership with Communist China.

Again, I'll make the challenge: Name the last Congressman that wasn't either Speaker or Minority Leader that seriously contended for a Presidential nomination.

Name the last Congressman...........whoever they were, they weren’t Duncan Hunter, so your point is preposterous. I have talked to many people about him, and while most had not heard of him, not one was put off by the fact that he was a Congressman. Not one objected to that, not one said he didn’t have a chance. In fact many were enthused enough by what they learned from me to do their own research, and have come to support him wholeheartedly. I know this because I work with a few of these people, and they are now wearing Hunter buttons, and telling other people about him on their own!

Also, they have not heard of Free Republic, and have no interest in lurking here. They are committed to family, and church, and are active elsewhere. One even took the occasion of her daughter’s birthday party to give a presentation about Hunter, and hand out brochures I had given her, and made more converts there!!

So my point is, Hunter could have been on Venus for the last 25 years, THEY DON’T CARE. He’s here now, and he is offering us solid leadership committed to the principles they hold dear, and they are going to vote for him.

Name the last time the GOP selected a liberal, bald mayor. Name the last time we had a mormon. How about the last time we had a a woman. Or a senator with zero for accomplishments. Or a black senator with zilch for a resume. Or one with less than a term of experience.

Someone is going to be the “first XXXX” or the “first YYYY in zzzz years” this election cycle. So choose wisely.
