That is not fact but is pure speculation based on media perception

..I was alluding to the calendar--we are down to days before the caucuses and primaries...

Duncan Hunter will gain more recognition as the campaign progresses.

News media keeping Hunter a secret is almost laughable.

I was watching a talk program on Fox a couple of days ago, and they had every Republican candidates stickers plastered on a large board behind the speakers. To the lower left, very bottom, I caught a glimpse of the right edge of Hunter's sticker. A woman in a dark grey suit was sitting in front to the left. Just as I thought "oh boy, we're going to get to see his name," she moved - or the camera angle changed, I don't know, but they don't even want to let us see his name as a candidate. Seems to me, anyway.

Why is he such a threat? I don't believe it is his lack of money.

..the whole “Hillary’s Gay General” attempted ambush in the last debate tells me that some on the other side are really interested in putting DH away—their allies in the MSM were busted as being co-conspirators...

I would like to see some meaningful proposals for tax reform, national security, immigration, and social security/medicare reforms be spoken to directly by the candidates

With all due respect Johnnie, there simply cannot be too much anger over CFR considering the number supporting another of its sponsors.

Why is he such a threat?

Let me see.....

He is pro-Military and American exceptionalism.
He is pro-America and not a globalist.
He believes in freedom and liberty, not welfare handouts.
He believes in the sanctity of life.
He is a man of faith with a strong belief in God.
He believes in personal responsibility, not nanny-statism.
He is a strong believer in the 2nd Amendment with an A+ rating from the NRA.

That is a good starter. All of these items would be a terrible impediment to our nose dive into socialism/communism/fascism and the powers that be simply cannot tolerate that!

I’m for Hunter, but Fred is my #2. In fact, I’d vote for ANY of the GOP candidates in the general, except Rudy and Flip Romney. Even McLame, though he’s a serious nose-holder.

Juan (El Heffi) McCain - no go - he will amnesty 30 million illegal aliens even faster than Hildabeast.

Thanks for the link (you don’t have to sell me on Hunter). I see and read all the separate articles, etc by individual candidates. What I would like to see is two, maybe three, of them face to face in a real debate. Not a 60 second sound bite. No interference from the chaff and garble surrounding them. A real discussion of the issues for the good of the people ... not the good of the candidate, not for one to cut the other apart. Then we might truly understand and make an informed choice.

“Why is he such a threat?”

China, the border, and just too “American”.

That’s why.

Oh, sorry...I misunderstood!

YES...Yes...yes!!! That last sentence is why it will never happen.

Why is he such a threat?>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Duncan Hunter is the worst nightmare of the Democrat National Party. The Dems have been successful i convincing Republican conservatives that they need to be progressive. Look at them, Rooty, Mittsey, Hukbee,Johnee, all flippant Republican RINOplasts.Noaturally the Dems want one of them to win in a media defined array of Republican candidates.

Its democracy by propaganda.

Duncan Hunter has the military service record, the congressional record, and the foresight to be president. That means also that he stepped on a lot of toes in Congress, and the Republican establishment doesn't like that, so Duncan will never be annointed by the GOP.He is too much of a maverick, putting principled support of our troops over deal cutting. He is ne reason our military has been so effective, but thats not acknowledged publicly.

The other issue is that he does not fold at the waiste at the mention of the illegal alien situation. He knew waht to do in California and did it. He built the fence and it worked. The media sure as hell wants to keep that a secret.

Its no wonder the media is prejudiced against Hunter, they don't want to see him get a start, simply because once he does get going, he will be unstoppable. There are too many in the Dem and Pubbie party who do not want to see that happen. Duncan has a strategy to deal with the dynamic, and we are ready to support him for a big push when the call comes in. Time will tell whether it is enough.

What we need is for the fools supporting John McCain to wake up to the fact he is a Candidate to No Where. Where those 10-15% end up is going to be critical.

I suspect that most of John McCain's supporters will go to Fred Thompson when/if John McCain quits the race. The two of them were very close when they were in the senate, and they've taken similar stands over the years. Some others will go to Rudy Giuliani because Giuliani and McCain have been the most anti-Christian candidates in the race, and there are some voters who support the most anti-Christian candidates.

To even get a moment's notice by the media, regardless of whether they ignore you, you have to make news.

I think the media is less prejudiced against him than they don't notice him. Admit it or not, he's run a crappy campaign. How many weeks here did we complain about his non-functional website?

It's been Amateur Hour from the start.

Duncan Hunter probably has the highest commitment to the life issues (among other things): http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/1934717/posts?q=1&;page=1 ); the most effective on borders, had a fence built at the San Diego border, and Hunter’s bill was signed into law to build a fence from California through Texas; is the most qualified to fight the WOT, and the most conservative presidential candidate we have on all the issues.

So how do we Rangers do our part to get Hunter’s positions out to more of the American voters?

You could put it that way, but then you might also say that its grass roots all the way. Many of our best presidents were amateurs. The slick professional ones have been among our worst. But then that might not matter much to you.
