Here is a video report from WBAY-Green Bay, of John McCain campaigning in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where he vowed to "go to the gates of hell, if necessary, to get Osama bin Laden and bring him to justice. . . ."

It's the same kind of verbal aphrodisiac for a certain class of male voter that "your right to choose" and "for the children" are for a certain class of female voter. Schwarzenegger wouldn't have won in California if a lot of young male voters hadn't been thinking back to his movie performances. Political slogans are always aimed at the lowest common denominator of society - the stupid who prefer symbolism over substance.
That said, if McCain wants Bin Laden he's going to have to go into the Gates of Hell and drag him back out - since he's been in residence there for several years now. ;)

McCain should simply change it to “We’ll go to....”
McCain’s fundemental problem is his habitual egobasims. He is too much in love with himself. He needs to get his ego out of the way if he wants to win.

McCain may go to the "gates of hell" to get Bin Landen, but he is weak on the War on Terror, our military and nationdal defense. Recently, McCain stated as President he WOULD still sign the McCain-Kennedy Legislation so he hasn't changed his position. By leaving our borders open he would still allow illegal aliens and terrorists to waltz into our country.
You cannot be strong on the War on Terror, supporting our military or national defense while permitting enemies of the state free passage into our nation and then conspire to grant them amnesty.
