During the Civil War, the South offered the Saints statehood if they would send troops fight with the South.
The Latter-Day Saints (LDS) stayed true to the United States, even though the government did not help address the wrongs done to the Saints, before being forced out of what was the United States at that time.
Thanks again for posting what the Father and the Son taught Joseph Smith when he went to them in prayer.
Can YOU tell us just what Joseph Smith 'learned' (not believed) was UNTRUE about PRESBYTERIANISM?
About 40 years passed after the end of the Civil War before the Feds were able to convince the LDS Church (through brute force) to officially end polygamy.

Well there is not shortage of conspiracy theories on the way this sect was busted. I was reading on another blog one person wonders if this Rozita was set up because she was black and poor since the authorities had to get ‘somebody’ -while the caller ‘Sarah’ is laying dead in a ditch somewhere. The blogger was saying it’s probably because ‘Sarah’ is white and Rozita is black.
People will concoct the most outrageous stuff to justify their own weirdness.

Remember, the baby must not have a chance of living past the birth, not just have any deformity.
But then again, you folks need something bad to say about the LDS, so you often forget the rest of our teachings and make a hale-truth look like what you want it to be.
I agree: ripping these children from their parents is about as traumatizing an event as could ever happen to them, perhaps equal to whatever sexual abuse some have experienced. And what of the children to whom no sexual abuse was perpetrated? They are now scarred for life just as deeply. I am speaking from first-hand experience, here, not just spouting an opinion.

And if you want to know why Joseph was speaking about Presbyterianism, as you often ask,you should read the part of the scripture that come before what you post.

when you say someone is not telling the truth - you are calling them a liar.
When you say someone is not telling the whole truth, I guess you could argue you are calling them half a liar.
No, that just does not work: not telling the whole truth, half a truth, only a smidgen of the truth accusation is calling someone a liar.
