This November McCain will win the election. I am certain McCain will be our next president.
McCain will win because he will get about 54% of the Hispanic vote ( Bush got 44%). The Democrats can not overcome that large of a margin going to McCain. This will be fatal to their party.
McCain will get such a large percentage of the Hispanic vote because of his support for immigration and because of the natural unreported tension that exist between the Black and Hispanic populations.
At the same time, Hispanic will split their vote and vote Democratic for Congressional election. The Democrats will have a net gain of 20 seats in the house and 7 seats in the senate.
During his first year McCain and a Democratic Congress will deliver their reward to the Hispanic community. An immigration Bill will be approved granting legal status to 12 millions plus immigrants (mostly from Mexico). With chain migration (ability to petition for family members), these 12 millions will become 30 millions in ten more years.
After that McCain will become that last Republican President to win an election. Good Night America.

I think after today's speech that it has become clear that the Republican party has no candidate. There is a Liberal Democrat vs. a conservative Democrat.

Obama will pick Bill Richardson for his VP. Hispanics will vote for Obama 2 to 1.

Or, another option, maybe you could all stop being so friggin pessimistic. And, instead work hard to vote conservatives into the House and Senate. If he wins he will be a lame duck from the outset. His only hope to get anything done will be to work with his fellow socialists.
He is after all left of center.
Any of the three will hurt our country, but with McCain conservatives will be blamed.
That portion of any population who would vote for a candidate on the promise of amnesty for people breaking the law merely because they share an ancestry or ethnicity were probably not going to vote for a conservative (had one been running this year) anyway. I’ve known a lot of people here illegally from the lands of my ancestry in Europe and I have no desire to see an amnesty for them.

That is what some of us have been saying for a long time. It will happen whoever is elected in November unless we get some sort of Divine Intervention that at least gives us a majority of pro border security and anti-amnesty Congressmen and Senators in November. The listing of the polar bear as “endangered” probably renders it all moot anyway because that commits the US to fight global warming in all its ramifications.
Electing McCain must be done because it will put off caving in Iraq,etc. for a year or two. After that all paths lead to a permanent Democrat government with Republicans being relegated to local significance in a few venues.
