French viewers are stunned by the mediocrity. The mainstream media still want people to get into theaters but people are so disappointed.

In a day, more than 200 people gave a one to zeo star to the movie, most of them fans.

On Raiders.net, the website for Indy fans, they invented a new expression for “Indy IV haters”.

Spielberg is a twisted director. Not to say about Lucas.

Hey, jerk,

I hope you got your ass kicked by Jar Jar Binks humor and Shia Lebeouf dancing in the jungle with monkeys in CGI, because it is what you gonna get.
Indy IV haters are already numerous everywhere. Hope you like childish humor and stunts in complete CGI.

"The Man in the Hat is Back!" Great movie, saw it last night with the family; While older and a bit slower, Indy hasn't missed a beat, it was just like old times and lots of fun.

The Comunist Russians were the bad guys (its the 50's) who got their comeuppance and students on Indy's campus (they used YALE) were holding a rally with anti communist RED signs reading "Better Dead than RED"!

A good time was had by all. Go see it, you won't be disappointed.

“If you were a fan of the original “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and recall that horrible sinking feeling you got while watching “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom”, then you should prepare yourself to travel back in time to 1985 and feel that vomitous disgust well back up in the pit of your stomach once again. This is the worst of the series by far and it’s not just bad, it’s embarrassing. Remember, George Lucas wrote the story. It’s Jar Jar Binks bad.”

I TOLD YOU SO!

Jmouse007, you were not disgusted by the stunts in CGI and the fake monkeys dancing with Shia Lebeouf? Have you seen the difference between real stunts in the original trilogy and CGI garbage?

Shia LaBeouf with monkeys in CGI in the jungle (entirely in CGI). "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull", 2008

I blame Lucas, who hasn’t written a decent script since “Empire Strikes Back.” Spielberg can only do so much with such sh-ty material.

Get a life, as for the stunts, Indy has aged 20 years in the time line and so has Ford in real life. None of us are what we were 20 years ago, neither can we do what we did 20 years ago. Ford is in tremendous shape for his age and showed it on film. As for the CGI, I liked it better than some of the mat work and such in the earlier movies. The Indy movies have all had their problems when it comes to realism and reality vs what is on the screen. Was IJ&KCS "perfect"... no, was it "Gone With the Wind", or Casablanca... no. That said, was it an Indiana Jones movie where Harrison Ford recreated Indiana Jones; the all American hero, who in spite of tremendous odds, triumphs over evil and fulfills his quest wearing a hat that he never loses (even after riding on a rocket sled!) and the audience has a great time in the process? The answer to that question is a resounding yes. And they did a nice job of tying up several loose ends in the process.

While you may not have liked IJ&KCS, my entire family of avid Indy fans, along with the audience we saw it with did. Drzz, yours is only one man's opinion as is mine. If you don't like it you are free not to watch it again or to make an Indiana Jones film of your own.

Indy is back and people who want to escape and have a great time doing it will flock to see IJ&KCS in droves.

Yeah, the problem with Lucas is that he always thinks about what he could sell with his movie. He puts animals and childish charachters in his movies to sell puppets and please 10-year-old children.

In this particular movies, he ignored the human stunts (the BASICS of Indiana Jones) for awful CGI and made Harrison look ridiculous. What a shame.

Get a life? You mean... Accepting the worse crap of the year, with CGI everywhere, a young guy who plays with digital monkeys and an awful ending?

We are all Indiana Jones fans but REAL fans. We wanted human stunts, great humor and pure fun. Not a giant crap, an awful blockbuster without soul.

The latest online opinion in a popular website is: not good (600 reviews), with the third of them being “zero star” (awful).

We may be a lot who do not like to see Hollywood screwing up a fantastic saga with a ridiculous movie which makes “The Mummy” look like a masterpiece.

We have every right to ask for a real movie, not a two-year-old crap!

Where are these exciting, real stunts? Spielberg and Lucas said that Indiana Jones IV would be like the last ones, with real stunts and little CGI. In fact, they did exactly the opposite with heavy CGI and almost no real stunt. Where is this kind of stunts in Indiana Jones IV? Nowhere to be seen.

Where are the stunts? Like I said, that was 24 years ago! I would like to see you or me or anyone do anything like that when we are 66. As it was, Ford did an outstanding job

Just saw it today and it was just Okay. Could have been much better. I would really like to know what some of the other scripts done were about. Anything with Lucas trying to write is Bad. Lucas even admits he is a so so director and not a good writer.
I think they could have had a better story even with an aging Indiana Jones. Also Karen Allen really did look old and perhaps should not have been in the movie.
Okay way to kill 2 hours and there are worse pictures out there.

The only thing to say about this movie is that I think George Lucas can be declared officially insane now.

Sounds to me like the problem is with your unrealistic expectations. It is only a popcorn movie ...

But that is just it - it isn't an entertaining movie. It is awkward and lame. Drzz is doing a service with this review. I like it when forum members give a film review - always a real opinion rather than the organised hype from critics.

The only good moment, I thought, was when they were exploring those tombs and were attacked by dart pipe weilding freaks with skeleton masks. That had a bit of vim. But unfortunately, the skeleton people were quickly vanquished, and the film plodded on, with Harrison Ford looked tired and embarrassed all the way through.

You will not be laughing when the skulls save us on December 21, 2012. Of course it will not matter since Skynet goes online on April 19, 2011 and becomes self aware on April 21, 2011 - Judgment Day. :-)

Agreed. The digital monkeys are a proof that Lucas is still lost in the Jar Jar Binks dreams.
