Just plain gross.

No evidence that there’s anything wrong with them aside from the fact that they’re made in China but that’s enough for me. Honestly I don’t blame China, I blame the greedy bottom feeding SOBs in this country that would rather have the stuff made in china.

“No evidence”!?

C’mon, the guy opened a package on camera, demonstrated the gooey rancid mess, described little flecks of white something-or-other in the product, it looked bad, smelled bad, and it can be safely assumed IS bad.

Sunkist = sold out to the ChiComs, no more Sunkist in MY house!

Profits regardless of consequences.

That's why America now has upwards of 40 million people here illegally. It's all so the greedy corporations and business owners can have their dirt cheap illegal labor, while at the same time paying off the corrupt politico to ensure these borders remain open. It's compromising and undermining this entire country.

Profits regardless of consequences.

Sunkist gummies are sold in Food Line as well. I almost bought some last night, but looked to see where they were made.

I was disappointed that a well known name like Sunkist was outsourcing to China as well. Ended up buying some manufactured out of Canada. Should be safer, eh?

Ummmmm, given that the Chinese counterfeit everything* Are we sure these gummi messes were made with any knowledge of the Sunkist corp?

*Except, of course windoze, when MS released the SOURCE CODE to the government of Commie China, Inc., that government promised they wouldn't release said code to the PLA's revenue arm.

Therefore, nothing to worry about, right GE?

"given that the Chinese counterfeit everything* Are we sure these gummi messes were made with any knowledge of the Sunkist corp? "

Well Food Lion is a pretty major grocery chain. And these were clearly labeled Sunkist and made in China on the back.

I tried to call them, you can’t. Going to use the county health dept to find that out, way past my ability. But you are correct. If someone is knocking off the Sunkist brand, this is something to worry about in a larger scale.

BTW, in case my site is shut down with a chinese web attack, someone please make note of the ytube URL.

The labels exist for a reason. Why didn't he look to find out where it was made before he bought it. Oh, that's right: he "assumed."

I haven't bought a cat toy in at least five years because I can't find any that are not made in China.

And, of course, Food Lion would never buy a counterfeit product, would they?

And no one in China would ever misrepresent their products either.

There are factories in China that produce legitimate electronics products during the day, and counterfeits of those same products at night. It's how they recover value of the parts that were rejected because they didn't quite make spec...

From that site:

"Why? Because Sunkist is a cooperative - a not-for-profit company. Our 6,000 members, all California and Arizona citrus growers, have joined forces to produce the high-quality Sunkist® fruit you've come to know and love. Sunkist is one of the 10 largest marketing cooperatives in America and the largest marketing cooperative in the world's fruit and vegetable industry."

Not for profit? A "cooperative"??? COMMIES!

Sunkist was outsourcing to China as well.

I don't think it's so much outsourcing but selling a license for products they do not normally produce. That stated, Sunkist should be more careful selling their name.

If the original product says “Made in USA”, then the countefeits would say “Made in USA”. But these say “Made in China”. These are likely either originals authorized by Sunkist, or they are counterfeits of Sunkist products that are manufactured in China. Either way Sunkist is outsourcing to China.

If Sunkist wasn’t authorizing products made in China, you would think someone would have noticed the label and Sunkist would have taken action by now.

Good point. A good name is hard to build, and Sunkist had one, but a good name is extremely easy to lose.

That would be my guess.

Either way Sunkist is outsourcing to China.

So it would seem. Who doesn't? It's very hard to compete with a slave labor force in a controlled currency economy with no meaningful labor or environmental laws.

The Chinese commies understand robber baron capitalism better than we do.

The author of this article is simply trying to generate hits. The simplicity of finding contact information for Sunkist took this 19 year old less than 15 seconds.

FYI...Sunkist Growers, Inc.

14130 Riverside Dr.

Sherman Oaks, CA 91423

CA Tel. 818-986-4800

Fax 818-379-7405

If your looking for quality products you don't go to Dollar Tree. If you look at the boxes that Dollar Tree junk is ship in you can't miss the chinese writing and MADE IN CHINA plastered all over the boxes.

BTW...I see there are no recalls on this product.

Well now lets see.....I posted under BLOGGERS and PERSONAL, the space JR puts here on FR for this type of posting, and there isn’t anything I can do about people wanting to see the video.

Second, The phone isn’t on the Sunkist site under contact info, so I didn’t bother looking through third party sites.

Third, there is a picture of the package up on the site, and there is no Chinese writing on it.

So sorry it offends you that people take notice of things and inform others.

That seems to be a problem here on FR. Just post without regard to facts that are easily obtained in just a matter of seconds. But then again, why even consider facts when you can create controversy, right?

Third, there is a picture of the package up on the site, and there is no Chinese writing on it.

You're correct. I was stating that the boxes,ie, the containers the bags are shipped in, are labeled in Chinese and English. The individual bags clearly state the product is manufactured under a license of Sunkist and MADE IN CHINA is clearly written on the package.

Don't try to create controvery when there is none. Leave that to the MSM.

At the worst a major daily brand in our lives is outsourceing kid treats to China and as related in the video an obvious defective product, at the best is being knocked off without their knowledge and distributed via a national chain. I am sorry you don’t feel this is newsworthy, I do. And until FR suspends my account I will follow their posting guidlines and continue to what I find of interest. As for waiting for MSM to report in a negative fashion anything about their beloved chicoms, that will be the day.

What betrayal are you talking about?

Oh, I dunno. I'll try not using multisyllabic words this time:

Micro-soft gave their win-dows source code to the chinese.

As Micro-soft must have know they would do, the chinese gave or leaked the code to their com-pan-ies.

Micro-soft will not give the same code to Am-er-i-can com-pan-ies.

There-fore Micro-soft aid-ed China, but will not aid Am-er-i-can com-pan-ies.

They have be-trayed their coun-try.

And now they are shocked SHOCKED that they are not get-ting their silver.

Oh, and once again, I am not a "Linux supporter" indeed, I have never even used Linux.

I just think an American company should help America, not her sworn enemies.

Think that last through. Microsoft is sacrificing its most precious crown jewels on the alter of chinese business, giving them a significant MILITARY and commercial edge over America. They gave the PLA the ability to exploit flaws in the OS on a level never before seen. You do know that a lot of our military runs on Windows, don't you? Guess what? So does the People's Liberation Army.

Let me rephrase that:

Microsoft gave China its most critical secrets.
Microsoft will not give Americans shit.

Microsoft handed our sworn enemies the keys to turn off any piece of our military equipment any time that suits them.

Microsoft has given the PLA the certainty that they can blunt any American response to Chinese aggression.

The nicest thing I could call that is a betrayal of America. Treason would not be too strong a word.

What do you call it? Good business practice?

Not even that, they aren't getting paid for the screwing they're getting.

Micro-soft gave their win-dows source code to the chinese.

So you actually believe in closed source? Of course not, it's your circular argument again. That Microsoft is evil for giving their source code away, but the only answer is for them to further open source it! Ya right! If you were really bothered about free software for China, you'd agree they shouldn't be able to legally rename and resell Red Hat as "Red Flag". You'd actually believe in "closed source", no free software for China, period. So do you actually belive that, or do you REALLY believe in "open" and "free software" for China? No more out of both sides of your mouth.

You can’t possibly be that dense.

Linux is open everywhere.

That is a level playing field.

Windows is open to the communist chinese and closed to Americans.

That is not a level playing field.

Microsoft has declared fealty to china, not America.

If Widows was closed to all, I would have little problem with that.

If Windows was open to all, I’d have no problem with that.

But to open it wide to our enemies, and slam it shut in our friends faces? You actually support that?

Are you an American first, or a Windows drone first?

Where exactly do your true loyalties lie? Hmmmmmm?

I’ve never defending free source code for China, from anyone, including Microsoft. I have a long standing position of supporting closed source software, prior to Microsoft’s “shared source” program, which is their response to open source I do not support either.

You on the other hand do support free software for China, “open to all” was your quote. Jump up and down and call me the sellout all you want, but unlike you I don’t believe in giving them anything for free. Closed source, not open to China. Not “open to all” like you want.
