Were you watching at 6:25 when Democratic strategist Bob Beckel dropped a bomb on us? He said he’d heard through his political pipeline that a big shoe was about to drop on the Obama campaign. It has something to do with Michelle Obama. Beckel wouldn’t say anything more other than this explosive story may happen tomorrow.

Being the good Rat that he is, he was probably just setting up the nonstory on Whiteygate.
This would be verrrrry odd if it happened because Beckel’s a big Obama supporter. He wouldn’t undermine Obams unless he was working for Hillary... and he’s not. We’ll see how the day unfolds.
On the Mike Gallagher show this AM. They are reporting that Michelle Obama was on a panel with Farrakan (sp), spouting off about “whitey”. Missed the website that the data is on, but the story is coming out today.
If they have to do this much ground work prior to the release of the alleged “bombshell”, they probably don’t have all that much.
MSM will bury it.
By the time it’s November, with no tape, the rumor will be Michelle ran over white kindergarteners in a Volvo with a BLK POWR license plate... and a red light camera captured it on video. And Kanye West music was on her iPod.

Never forget, Hillary is a ruthless, coniving, sinister, Mz. and will use everything she has to get nominated.
Moreover, Beckel said it was "the republicans" (natch) and that it wouldn't come out until Obama was nominated, so they are clearly trying to get this out without releasing it themselves.
Keep the recorders on today. I want to see the video when Beckel bursts a few blood vessels in his face.
The Friends asked Bob who he supported and he claimed that he promised Fox that he would not say. Ha! He knows about the tape...I saw him with the Friends and I believed him.
Or it could be one of the classic political dirty tricks where a fake example of your most vulnerable area is given to your opponents. When the opponent foolishly trumpets the disinformation, you then show that his information is clearly bogus. This both discredits your opponent and effectively shields your greatest weakness from further attack.
Eh, Roger Stone said the same a few days ago on Fox, and someone else said it a couple of weeks ago. Larry Johnson, friend of Bill’s was supposed to have something big and was going to release it yesterday before 9 am on his website. Nothing yet, so how long are they going to keep this up and to what end?
If it's being put out today - the Clinton people are behind it. And some in the MSM are in the tank for the Clintons. So, if the Clintons are behind it, it'll be NEWS.
If Republicans are behind it, Hannity will talk about it and it'll show up on FR for a day or two... maybe a few mentions on FOX...

Somewhere I read a story several months ago that Beckel stormed out of the green room after an appearance on Fox discussing the Rev Wright mess. As he was departing the Fox studio he was complaining to Laura Ingraham (or some other cutie blond conservative) that Obama had not been vetted enough and was fit to be tied. FWIW
“Well, somethings happening with all these reports of Hillary finally conceeding, eventhough I don’t believe it at this point. I think she at least has a last ditch effort up her sleeve and will use it to destroy Obama no matter if he takes the nomination or not!”
Like you, I have my own pet speculative theories. Personally, I think that if there is a tape and if it is enough to end Obama’s candidacy (both doubtful to me), Hillary would want to secure the VP spot before Obama went down in flames. That way she inherits the top spot on the ticket and Obama’s demise does not have her fingerprints on it. Obama supporters would rally behind Hillary, as she would be seen as fighting with him rather than against him. If it comes out now, it looks like a Hillary ploy. That is why I think Republican factions (not the gutless McCain Campaign) are behind this.
Maybe it is just me fantasizing that someone in the GOP has the guts to go after Obama and his radical affiliations.

I haven't heard it. Maybe she said "why'd he." Or maybe the B.O. campaign considered all of the possible excuses and decided that "why'd he" made a better cover story than "white tea" or "wide bee".
On Michael Savage yesterday a guest was quoting a dem operative who explains it this way: Carl Rove has the tape of Michelle O giving a speech in THE church and talking about whitey. He was convinced it was true, and supposedly it will be release in Oct after Obama has been declared the nominee.
Maybe, maybe not. It’s a wait and see. To listen to the pundits, there is no way Obama can win, without the damning speech. I’ll believe that when I see it.

"As I was waiting to go on-the-air, Major Garrett of Fox News was on stand-by to do further reporting on his excellent interview with BHO in which he simply asked a number of questions like: "Did Reverend Wright marry you? Did Reverend Wright baptize your children? How often did you attend church? Did you donate money to the church?"So Beckel wasn't in the tank for Obama?After that segment aired, Major Garrett's phone started buzzing. He recieved a call from Obama's campaign, and they were REAMING him over the report. From his end, I heard Garrett say "I have nothing to apologize for."
He repeated that several times, and he amplified by saying that he was merely asking questions that everyone wanted answers to.
That did NOT satisfy Obama's people, and Garrett flushed a couple of times while responding to the invective thrown his way.
He finally ended the conversation by saying 'I'll see you guys in April after I go home and visit my three children who barely know their father anymore."
I was scheduled for the last segment with Sean Hannity and Alan Colmes. Bob Beckel, a Democrat strategist with whom I have shared a split screen on several previous occasions, appeared just before me.
This time, he [Beckel] was FURIOUS. Madder than I have ever seen him on TV. He was making a point that I didn't really understand about kids who go to Obama's church growing up to become President, and was drilling Sean about that.
Whatever.
Here's the interesting part.
After the segment was over, I exchanged seats with Beckel. As he was leaving, he slammed the studio door so hard that it almost broke some expensive audio/video equipment, according to the technician who was threading my microphone.
He was STEAMED.
Later, I asked him why he was so upset.
He replied ..."because Obama's people didn't vet him and now Hillary's going to win.'
Catch that? A senior Democrat strategist thinks that Obama has lost the campaign over his association with Reverend Jeremiah Wright's militant separatist language that includes statements like "God Damn America."
I pointed out in my segment that my co-author Catherine Moy wrote about Obama's close personal association at this very website about a year and a half ago. Catherine and I were excoriated for making that piece public. "
I think he has supported Hillary from the beginning.
Remember a few months ago when the Jeremiah Wright debacle hit full force? Bob Beckel was on Fox with Hannity and blew a gasket saying something to the effect that, "the 'RAT party made a big mistake by not properly 'vetting' Obama and that they were going to live to regret it". With that he got up and left, slamming the door so hard that it rattled everything. The people there thought all the pictures on the wall would fall and break. They said that they have never seen him so angry.
There was a thread on FR at the time and plenty of FReepers commented that they were watching the show at the time that outburst happened.

Do you have anything to offer to the discussion beyond rote, Obama-style apologetics? Do you know that one of the possible transcripts floating around;

shows that the racist comments, if this is genuine, came BEFORE the “why’d he...” part?

We could find out Obama was once a mass murderer and it would be reasoned, excused, and dropped quickly. What would it take for Democrats, the so-called "journalists" of the Newsmedia, Leftists, their operatives and sympathizers, so-called "celebrities", college professors, "swing voters" to abandon Obama?
