Liberals like to say that conservative men are “sexist” and won’t vote for a women. What they always fail to realize is that sexism has nothing to do with it, it where the woman stands on the issues.

If Maggie Thatcher was running for U.S. President, and her opponent was a liberal man, I would vote for her in a heartbeat.

My version: If Maggie Thatcher was running for U.S. President, and her opponent was anyone other than Ronald Reagan, I would vote for her in a heartbeat.”

I’ve always said that the best hope America has for having a black or female president is for them to run on a Republican ticket and campaign for Republican values. By campaigning on a liberal platform with a liberal agenda, I think it taps into the subconscious of racism and sexism that still exists within society and mobilises conservative opinion more strongly against them.
Given all the insinuations on here about ‘Barack Osama’ being a terrorist, un-american and hating whitey, as well as being a Democrat, I don’t think Obama has much of a chance, Condoleeza Rice could have made a good go of it though I reckon, although the inneundo that she is a lesbian may have undermined her....

f she were running in this election I'd vote for her in a heartbeat! Do we have time to change the Constitution and get her honorary citizenship before November? Of course then the libs would demand the same for Arnold.

Too bad Reagan is no longer in style in the GOP.

That went out the window with the nomination of McCain.

Funny, I dreamed last night that ‘80s power suits were back in fashion, mere months after I finally gave up and bundled mine off to GoodWill. Loved those shoulder pads.

Having seen that picture, it just reminds of how blessed we really were with those two ( Reagan and Thatcher ).
Those were much better times with them in office then now in spite of the fact that the Cold War was going on.

J.C. Watts, or Mike Steele would make 2 great choices of Republican Black men who I can vote for as President without holding my nose.

It would not matter anyway with Arnold,,, because Maggie would beat him in a landslide if she were to run as President of the USA..... but, her health in relation to her age would be a problem.
