Folks! This is a modern Hawaii Marriage Certicate. Note the form is similar. So.. can the "this does not look like a 1961 certificate" issue please die!?

Obama is going to have access to the most classified data our country has.....

Only if he becomes president. However, even if he manages, a precedent was set when dirt bag slickmeister managed to achieve POTUS status.

I have a fair amount of experience with computer graphics and I have to agree with your assessment. Question. The question about the location and content of a genuine birth certificate is obviously still valid. But why would anyone be stupid enough to put out such an apparently fraudulent document that would only raise more questions.

Answer to my own question: Arrogance and misunderestimating the intelligence of others.

That said I really doubt that this issue will ever get legs. The MSM won’t pursue it and I don’t think its the kind of thing that McCain’s people will go after. It will be interesting to see it it gets enough traction on the net that Osamabama’s ‘fight the smears’ website will respond to it.

What do you mean? You can’t get a passport if you don’t have a birth certificate that is American? His father obviously had a passport and wasn’t American. Am I confused?

But what exactly is the issue here? Where he was born?

How old was he when his mother took him to Kenya to be the 2nd wifey of her moozy boyfriend? And I bet her parents were proud.

I better shut up, I have three daughters and the odds of one of them doing something that stupid is high, especially given their DNA of their father. Oh wait, for that matter, my mother could say the same for me since I had babies with this man. I think I should just shut up now.

The thing I think everyone is really missing though is that under his name it has Obama II.

Shouldn’t it say Junior, that’s like buying the sword that was surrendered after the first World War and having it inscribed “World War I”.

You’re only referred to as “The Second” (II) when you are a junior and then have a son and give him the same name.

That doesn’t make sense to me.

Therefore he IS a US citizen. Whether is middle name his Mo or not is another story.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is a US citizen. But Arnold will never be president (born in Austria).

Part of the interest derives from the possibility that Obama was actually born in Kenya. On other threads, people have discussed the precise wording of the law. My understanding is that if he were born in Kenya, he would not be eligle for our highest office.

Of course, other areas of interest are: Does his birth certificate list his religion as Muslim? Older birth certificates often list religion. This would not invalidate him in any way -- but it would be embarassing.

Another point (as you indicate) is that his full name might include "Mohammad". Again, this does not invalidate him -- but it would be embarassing.

I wish I were in the popcorn business.

No, it’s not a dead issue if race is questionable. “African” race?

I’d prefer to pick apart BHO on his issues rather than questionnable documents.

Exactly. This paranoid nonsense is counter-productive.

It makes us look like raving loons. Worse yet, it isn't necessary. He can be beaten on the issues.

It is NOT that it should have looked like a copy of the original 1961 BC.

There are posts on this very thread that argue that it should look, and be worn, like an original. (5, 13, 24, 39...)

Unless you found a 1961 HI certicate of a black person, it would be a dead issue.

"You get a state-sealed computer laser printout just like this one. I had to request a copy of my birth certificate from Virginia a couple of years ago, and the document I received was not unlike this one."

Be careful what you assume and pass as fact. I requested (for a fee) my Birth Certificate from the Commonwealth of Virginia two years ago. I received not a modern computer print out, but a certified copy of the microfilmed original with the embossed seal and a signature verifying that this was a certified copy. It looks like a photo negative - all black with white type (obviously done on a typewriter) and is impossible to photocopy.

BTW, where is the embossed State seal on Obamma's? Surely you don't mean that grainy pixelated B&W image at the top center?

“issue please die!?”

I’m curious, for what reason would Obama’s people block out the certificate no.?

DEAD ISSUE! No one is claiming this is a circa 1961 certificate. It is today's format when you make a request.

Thank you. That ought to settle it.

Can we now return to the issues, please?

Amen FRiend!

All this stuff, the OCD hand wringing over the Birth Certificate, or the over the top obsessions over the latest LBCD (Larry Based Conspirisy Disorder) is starting to look like the kinda of crazed lunacy one would normally reserve for cloakanddagger.com, DU, or Art Bell.

Yeah, who lists race as African? Considering there are a number of races that have traditionally lived in Africa. That is like listing someone as Mediterranean.

Rathergate? They seriously underestimated the American people. Well, at least the non-democrat voting people.

It's very disappointing.

We keep talking about the libs' Bush Derangement Disorder, while demonstrating that too many here are just as capable of letting their emotions run out of control.

The whole argument is not based on original or copy, even a newly generated copy on new paper, etc., but whether BO’s was “manufactured” using a modern graphics program, not just retyped info on a computer and printed out on new paper. The expert says it was generated from a graphics program. That would be a significant development as to its authenticity.
