This "as President" talk by Barack Obama on what he would do about Osama bin Laden is political gobbledygook:

There is no publicly known Presidential Executive Order "out on Osama bin Laden's head." The administration has never acknowledged whether President George W. Bush has or has not signed an Executive Order that states the policy of the United States is to kill (or capture) Osama bin Laden.

Obama doesn’t want to make Osama mad.
1) Where is Osama Bin Laden?
2) What about those anthrax attacks?
Had we killed him (or if we would do so now), we'd make a martyr out of the great Osama and possibly energize the movement.
If you read between the lines (i.e. you ain't gonna get this from the evening news...) we're kicking some serious terrorist butt right now. Let's not try to fix what isn't broken.
Ironically, after the USSC ruling,
the “capturing” individuals will likely have to kill him
because he “resisted”.
Rather than give him access to our court systems.
What should we do if we can catch Osama alive? Well, on a talk radio program yesterday a caller said, and I quote “catch him, strap him to the biggest nuke that we have, dip both Osama and the nuke in pigs guts and blood and then drop the hole discusting mess in the center of Mecca”, I kid you not!

The #2 and #3 guys, Zawahiri and Gadahn, are just as dangerous as bin Laden, in my opinion.
Better make it a trifecta.
It’s too bad that Prez Bush can’t claim victory on finding OBL before he leaves office. I’m thinking that if Osama Hussein gets POTUS, he’ll offer amnesty to OBL, that is if OBL is still alive.

It’s not really a flipflop, The O is simply demonstrating yet again that his whole concept of public office revolves around saying a whole bunch of nothing, then backing it up by a total unwillingness and inability to act.
Kinda like leadership by marshmallow.
