Third Party Watch ^

Posted on 06/20/2008 1:21:26 PM PDT by mnehring

You read that right. The leader of the Bill Clinton Impeachment Team in the House says Bush is SO much worse than Clinton ever was. Check it out in this fascinating MobLogic.tv video.

Barr also talks about the history of his mustache, civil liberties, privacy and other important topics.

Just a note to tell everyone that Bob Barr was one of the featured speakers at FreeRepublic's 1st March for Justice back on October 31st, 1998 on The Mall in Washington DC....which I proudly attended and photographed.

WTH is he thinking?

The SOB was one of us.

Also, Lucianne Goldberg was there as well as Tommy Dale, the fired head of the White House Travel Office. Alan Keyes, too!

Those were exciting times my FRiends.

WTH is Bab Barr 'taking'?

OK, that’s a little over the top but I do admit, he isn’t near as bad as some like to claim.

No kidding!

Ron Paul’s Campaign Is A Family Business

Rep. Ron Paul (R-Tex.) has built a national following largely by preaching an isolationist foreign policy. Stick with your own kind, says the maverick presidential candidate.

And that’s more or less what he has been doing over the past few months, putting relatives in a slew of key positions and paying them a total of $169,063, according to the latest campaign finance reports.

Paul’s granddaughter Valori Pyeatt helps organize fundraising receptions and has been paid $17,157. Another granddaughter, Laura Paul ($2,724), handles orders for Ron Paul merchandise. Grandson Matthew Pyeatt ($3,251) manages Paul’s MySpace profile. Daughter Peggy Paul ($2,224) helps with campaign logistics. The candidate’s sons Randall and Robert and his daughter Joy Paul LeBlanc have all been paid for campaign travel and for appearing as surrogates at political events.

Who keeps track of all these finances? Paul’s brother and daughter, naturally, who have been paid a combined $62,740 to handle the campaign’s accounting.

Campaign aides said they discussed the possibility that involving so many family members could create the impression that nepotism was driving hiring decisions, but ultimately they saw no problem with the practice.

[ Oh, Horse poop! G.W. Bush will go down as Our Best President since George Washington! ]

True Republican Patriot sounds like a handel that a democrat operative would invent for himself when registering on website such as this..

You know to hide true intentions.. while supporting Bush spending sprees and Mexican Border malfeance.. Oh! and NOT sunseting the executive order(Clinton) prohibiting off shore DRILLING... Which he easily COULD over rule by a stroke of a pen.. BUT HASN'T and WON'T...

Barr indeed a Useful Idiot

Barr while at USC in 1967 joined the Young Democrats of America, and rallied against the Vietnam War.

His parents disapproved, and threatened to cut off financial support if he continued his “flaming liberal” activities

On the Colbert Report on June 4, 2008, Barr confirmed that he now supports ending marijuana prohibition, as well as the War on Drugs

At the 2008 Libertarian National Convention, he apologized for the part of the Defense of Marriage Act which prevents the federal government from recognizing same-sex marriages ( Barr supports same sex marriage)

Barr has called for withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq, leaving no permanent military bases. A press release from Barr’s presidential campaign stated:

“The next president should commit to a speedy and complete withdrawal from Iraq, and tell the Iraqi people that the U.S. troops will be going home

Barr Does Nnot support the Patriot Act which has kept us from further attacks since 9/11

Barr has been a vocal opponent of President George W. Bush’s claim of authorization to wiretap transnational phone calls without individual judicial license. (Another favorite of the left.)

More recently, Barr has become a prominent member of the American Civil Liberties Union, sometimes doing paid consulting on privacy issues.

Barr had acquiesced to his then-wife having an abortion in 1983. He had also invoked a legal privilege during his 1985 divorce proceeding so he could refuse to answer questions on whether he’d cheated on his second wife with the woman who is now his third.”

Yes, it does seem that something substantial is lacking in Barr. Maybe the GA Republican primary voters knew something back then.

Bob Barr. One of the most humorless men EVER.

And here I thought Libertarians liked to have FUN!

That is one of the scariest interviews I’ve ever seen of any political figure.

These things are cyclic. Barr and others will be popular in these parts again when a Rat is president, and the bigger government GOP types will be rightfully shunned. The sudden false regard for civil liberties (real or imagined) by Democrats will likewise vanish; I await to see what contemporary rhetorical (and corporeal) tools will be adopted to further the other leftist agendas under the rats.

I LOVED Henry Hyde. I have more respect for him every day, one has to wonder how many times Ol’ Henry had to bitch slap Barr and Goober Graham to keep them from making a mess all over themselves.
