Who's afraid of the big black wolf? ^ | June 23, 2008 | Moralia

“They’re going to try to make you afraid of me,” says Barack Obama. “He’s young and inexperienced and he’s got a funny name. And did I mention he’s black?”

Why is it that when someone on the left disapproves of something, or disagrees with something, it’s out of principle, while those of us on the right always take our positions based on “fear”? What are they afraid of? If you don’t want marriage redefined, you’re a homophobe, afraid of homosexuals rather than simply believing that marriage ought to remain between a man and a woman? If you don’t plan to vote for Barack Obama, you’re afraid of him because he’s black rather than simply opposed to his policies?

People like me didn’t vote for John Kerry or Al Gore either. Was it because we were afraid of them? Was it because we were racist? Oh, that’s right, they were both white guys. Never mind. The Anchoress has links to several blogs addressing this issue, including Bookworm’s bold and witty response.

When those who like to call themselves “progressive” dismiss my political views as based on fear, it reminds me of when I was young and single and guys used to demand, “What are you afraid of?” when I wasn’t inclined to hop into bed with them. The fact that I didn’t want to have sex with someone couldn’t possibly mean that (a) I thought casual sex was wrong on principle, or (b) I wasn’t all that attracted to the guy who was trying to get it. No, it meant that I was afraid. Because surely if I wasn’t afraid, I’d be nice and compliant and spread my legs at the drop of a hat for anyone who asked, right?

When someone doesn’t agree with you, or want to do what you want them to do, the most facile, puerile response possible is to dismiss their disagreement as fear.

Obama is a charlatain and a sham. In a typical liberal fashion, he is trying to get out in front of an issue, by painting his opponents with it. In fact, Obama himself is racist.

But Obama's ardent followers (including most of the MSM) are not swayed by logic, reason, or truth, and regardless of his positions, his gaffes, his past, or his associations, they worship him as an idol.

Nothing you can say or do will convince these people otherwise...

Because I am the one they and I have been waiting for...and I am lovin' it.

Those wild-eyed people represent the millions of Americans raised in the government day-care and indoctrination centers we call public schools who did not have, or would not listen to, parents and others who tried to counterweight the propaganda they heard at school...who have been raised on 60 second sound bite time spans and know no better.

You have other tens of millions on the dole who will vote for him regardless of position because he promises to keep pilfering the public largess for them.

Still othes of millions will vote for him simply because he is black, not caring to hear or look at his actual positions.

Other millions will vote for him because they know exactly who he is and what he represents and agree with his anti-American positions.

The first three are all what is termed, useful idiots, a term coined by Lennin for the dupes he got to support him.

Against this it is left to us to educate, arouse, and amass the tens of millions of Americans, of all races and creeds, who understand and hold fast to the foundational principles our constitutional republic rests upon...many of them the bitter, rural Americans clinging to their guns and religion that Obama so arrogantly spoke of.

Finally, understand that this is not the first time in history that rock-star, messianic status has been conferred on a populist, charismatic individual in order to hand them the reigns of power. Although there are many critical differences, still it is important when you consider the danger that this candidate poses to American foreign policy, our economy, our social fabric, and to the war we are fighting against fanatical Islamic Jihad terrorists, to note the following comparison:

A populsitic, charismatic, self-serving individual has a way of mesmerizing foolish people looking for an idol...then and now.

Barack Hussein Obama is the apex of the hate-America, domestic enemy in this country. His election as president would be the greatest coup any enemy has ever scored against this country and could easily lead to the worst, horrific disaster in our nation's history.

I recognize how evil Obama is, and I am not afraid to make it known.

Hopefully most Americans will acknowledge that Obama's black racism, arrogant elitism, profound communism and rampant narcissism will cause irreversible damange to the Republic.

Once they have this realization, they will refuse to vote for him and help salvage our future. One can only pray this happens.

“Once they have this realization, they will refuse to vote for him and help salvage our future.”

The vast, vast majority of folks out there aren’t even paying attention to the election yet. They may glance at the headlines, but it is still way too early.

I tend to agree with you though that when folks see Obama’s marxism, they will see it for what it is and refuse to vote for him.
