Obama Argues Judicial Appointments
AZCONSERVATIVE ^ | 28 June 2008 | John Semmens

Democratic nominee Senator Barack Obama (D-Ill.) warned voters to carefully consider the issue of who they want appointing federal judges before they cast their ballots for president.

“Senator McCain has said he will appoint men who look to the past for guidance on how they will rule on the cases brought to them,” Obama pointed out. “If you want judges to play such a passive and uninspired role, maybe you should vote for him because I will appoint active judges who look to the future for inspiration.”

“We need people who can adapt the laws to meet our current and future needs, not old men who are content to quote from old documents,” Obama said. “There will be times when the political processes are at a stalemate, when legislators or voters are unable to take action. We need judges who can break these logjams. We need men and women of vision and the strength of character to lead this nation to new legal paradigms. I will appoint such men and women.”

Queried for some examples of the type of person he is looking for as a prospective Supreme Court Justice, Obama mentioned Senator Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) and former senator John Edwards as “two people with outstanding credentials and the creativity we so sorely need on the bench.”

Obama needs to provide an interpretation of the Constitution paragraph by paragraph. If he disagrees, he needs to be asked why he isn’t a citizen of Kenya, Indonesia or France.

So Comrade Obama, who is a Communist, urges people to vote for him so he can more easily subvert the US Constitution. Well at least he told you up front.

Ah, come on - someone at least add Satire in the thread somewhere.

I know the left is getting bolder and bolder about exposing their true beliefs, but this was going too far.

My first thought was - yes, I know libs that would defend this position.

The best satire has the most realism. Does anyone believe Comrade Obama would not appoint justices who would subvert the Constitution, like the ones that are there now? Have you paid attention to recent decisions?

Only Heller was proper, the rest well you decide. It's a fine line, and most times they gide it carefully.

Sorry Osama... what you call 'passive' and 'uninspired'... most of us call BRILLIANT!

Oh, yes, I’ve been paying attention.

Every one of us should throw Kennedy’s reasoning back in libs face whenever there is any mention of a story demonstrating the decline of American moral character-

“oh, that must be an example of Justice Kennedy’s ‘evolving standards of decency in a maturing society’”

not old men who are content to quote from old documents,” Obama said. ++++++++++++++++++++++ The Constitution is an old document. I guess a President Obama will discard our constitution next. And this man was a professor of constitutional law? Folks, the popularity of this radical is absolutely frightening!!!

Obama praised the Supreme Court for its handgun decision.

BUT he voted AGAINST two of the justices in the majority on the case and has promised to appoint more justices like those in the minority.

You must highlight Semmens’ name more conspicuosly. I’m halfway through befoe I realize it’s Semmens. Here I am hoping the haloed one has made the egregious misstep of attacking the Separation of Powers when I look up and see Semmens’ byline.

Obama will be appointing Marxist and Black Liberty cult people. I would not be surprised to see American punished for her wicked ways.
