Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.
The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.
The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.
Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.
McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

So, in a nutshell, who is Ms. DeCosta...if you even know?
Birth certificates can be amended in cases of adoption. However I don't think that his name was probably ever legally, in the sense of getting a new BC, Soetoro. He may have registered for school under that name, but absent an intent to defraud, that's not generally illegal. I know our oldest nephew (9 months older than our older daughter) went to school under his stepfather's name, but has since gone back to his birth name (under which he's a Sergeant First Class (E-7) in the Army Reserve, and currently on a year of so of active duty, his second of the War On Terror. The first he volunteered for and was all over Southwest Asia, this second time his unit was called up, but only to Ft. Sill to train basic trainees) The stepdaughter of my youngest brother in law, who just happens to be visiting us right now, goes to school under her stepfather's last name, even though she's not been adopted (The Cad!, she's been his stepdaughter for over 10 years and she has no contact at all with her natural father somewhere in the former Soviet Republics)

Actually they can. But apparently only if they were born in another country and legally adopted in Hawaii. That would not seem to apply to BHO.

I have a couple of those, well a Browning and a Maverick, the Maverick is the one for Serious Social Purposes. But I'd just as soon not have to get that close, or let the rioters get that close. I prefer my 7.62x51 and wish I had something with more reach. :) For slightly shorter distances, but still out of shotgun range, I've got a 7.62x39 and a 7.62x33 (.30 Carbine).
But if all else fails, there's the #4 buckshot, although My supply of the others is much larger, so I can be comparatively profligate with them. (OH, and I'm surrounded by 2 divisions of the US Army :).

Sure, you only have to be a citizen, not a natural born citizen. A guy I served with was born in Cuba, not that long after McCain was born in the Canal zone. Difference was he was a Cuban citizen, came to the US, at about 12 or 14, when Castro took over. But he was a US Citizen, and a USAF 1st LT. when we met. Then he became a Captain about the time I became a 1st LT. He retired as a full bird colonel. You could Google his name and get lots of hits. As of 2005 he still worked for the NRO, as a director.

Children in kindergarten do not write essays. Obama did not ever display a knowledge that he was a US citizen at all. Here is what theobamafile.com has to say on this subject with sources there:

He was registered under the name of Barry Soetoro, serial number 203. School documents list Barry Soetoro as an Indonesian citizen and his religion was listed as Islam.
Born on August 4, 1961, Obama would have been 7 years and 5 months old. That’s late to start school.
Obama may have started Kindergarten in Hawaii but was whisked off to Indonesia as a result of his mother’s second marriage. There are 5 missing years in Anna’s CV between Obama Sr. abandoning the family and her emigration to Indonesia with Lolo.

His third grade teacher, Fermina Katarina Sinaga, now 67, asked her class to write an essay titled “My dream: What I want to be in the future.” Obama wrote “I want to be a President,” she said.
So in 3rd grade, Obama wants to be A president. A president.
Both Indonesia (1945) and Kenya (1963) have forms of government that include an office of President.
I would not put much faith in anything McKinnon writes.

We also have the CoLB from the LA KFI broadcaster. While not published, he was willing to email his thoughts about the Obama CoLB being quite different from his own, and talk about it on his show on air (jeopardizing his career). The DeCosta CoLB is for someone’s mother and God Bless that family for taking that risk.
