Blogger admits Hawaii birth certificate forgery, subverting Obama claims (Uh-oh)
Israel Insider ^ | 3 July 2008 | Reuven Koret

Posted on 07/03/2008 4:35:19 PM PDT by SE Mom

Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.

The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.

The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.

Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.

McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

“You are libeling Stanley Ann by saying you think she’s too stupid to figure out how to get her and her new husband off to visit his parents.”

What an asinine comment.

Probably

You are the one calling her a felon and fraud artist who lies on Govt forms.

Nope. I said that a new mommy who thought her son had lost US citizenship due to circumstances beyond her control, to wit:

She planned to give birth in Hawai'i = Automatic US citizenship
Airline rules prevented her from flying back near full term

She planned on giving birth in wedlock = Married american mother = Automatic US citizenship.
Oooops The new hubby already has a wife back home = IN HER MIND, birth out of wedlock, in a foreign land = IN HER MIND no automatic US citizenship.

She hasn't had the luxury of a bunch of experts in US law hashing it over for weeks. She believes she's muffed it, thanks to an airline rule she didn't expect.

In the past few months she's been on a total roller coaster. She's been starry-eyed in love, pregnant and unwed, married, going on the adventure of her life to meet the in-laws, jet-lagged, betrayed-met one too many in-laws in the new hubby's other wife, stuck 10,000 miles away from friends and family, morning sick, hormonal, probably sick from odd local bugs and odder foods, homesick, and depressed.

And now she thinks her baby won't be let into the US as a citizen. She's wrong, but that's what she thinks will happen to a bastard born on foreign soil.

She sees one narrow chance to give her baby a good life, get him home where she intended to have him, and tell a little white lie that says that is where she had him.

All I have said of her character is that she's a new mommy who wants the best for her baby, and so desperately wants what she had planned and intended to be true actually be true, that she tries to make it true, at least officially.

I have accused her of been a human who made one more mistake in a long chain of mistakes. This doesn't make her an evil person. It makes her human. It makes her a mother.

Was Barak born in Honolulu? Probably. But the only document offered to show us that is is a poor resolution electronic copy of a document that shows identical artifacts to a known bad document.

You have made the conscious choice to believe with all your soul that this blurry document, with all it's known flaws is an absolute reflection of TRUTH and REALITY. After all, it's on green paper, and he posted it on his web site, and it says it's an OFFICIAL DOCUMENT, so it must be true!

Ever been in court? Ever been divorced? Sued?

Let me assure you, people do lie under oath ALL THE TIME. I don't and given your attitude, I am certain you don't either, but you and I aren't everyone.

You are asking me to uncritically accept a document that looks bad on its face simply because a brand new mom filed it on behalf of her itty-bitty baby.

Show me ANY supporting document.

A hospital record of birth? None has been offered, indeed, the hospital originally claimed as his birthplace hadn't even been built when he was born.
A birth announcement in the Honolulu Advertiser? None reported.
A note in the family Bible or koran? Nope. Nothing there, either.
The personal recollections of a doctor, midwife, friend or neighbor? Silence.

You can't show me reports of people who claim to have been there at his birth in Honolulu, but I can show you reports of people who claim to have attended his birth in Kenya.

You said A jaunt half-way round the world would be incredibly ill-advised for a near-term woman,

Agreed. But remember she wasn't near full term at the start of the adventure, and I submit she didn't intend to stay anywhere near as long as she ended up staying.

stupendously expensive,

Yes. Once-in-a-lifetime events often are.

and amazingly gratuitous.

Like all honeymoons.

It would be further incredible that this amazing trip would have ZERO record in any of barack’s family’s mind.

It would be, that's why the reported personal recollections of his birth by members of his extended family in Africa are crucial. Your simply denying that these recollections were reported won't make them cease to exist.

No pictures or postcards,

And none from Hawai'i either. No notes to mom and dad back on the mainland.

I am merely saying this: Things that have no real record of happening didnt happen.

There is no record of the invention of the wheel, nor the taming of fire. There is no record of where you were on August 3rd 1997, did you not exist that day?

It’s not too hard of a rule to follow.

Given a choice between following a rule and following the data, I'll follow the data, thankyouverymuch.

“The plan was visit the folks over the summer, and be back in time for the joys of childbirth. Then the airlines blocked it. What now?"

And your invented scenario has what evidence to back it up? ...

Personal testimony of multiple relatives who claim to have attended his birth in Africa.

You keep making up fantasy scenarios

You keep confusing my speculations with reality

that are not based in reality.

You keep ignoring bits of reality that conflict with your conclusions, namely family members in Africa say they were there when he was born, the document he presents as his BC on his web site looks like a clumsy copy, there are no other records (hospital, family Bible, birth announcement, etc.) to back up the clumsy copy.

Occam’s Razor. Try using it, your shaggy dog stories are getting too shaggy.

I shaved your dog. Under all that fuzzy reasoning, I found something that looks and smells remarkably like a 'rat...

On the boy’s wrist wrist is a watch that could be the same as the watch shown in the date-disputed airport photo with Obama Senior in post #1994. That is the photo with which Calpernia has flash lighting concerns. She wonders if it was photoshopped.

In what picture?

The fact that the campaign reacts in a harsh anti-free speech effort to shut this issue down leads you to think that in fact, they are vulnerable...

Absolutely...I cannot accept that any candidate for POTUS is fit for that office in the absence of his/her full and timely disclosure with respect to issues concerning Constitutional requirements.

Issues that bear on a candidate's moral standing might be another matter. For instance, I don't feel I'm entitled to read love letters to a mistress written by a young married person who later in life receives his political party's nomination for the highest office in the land. But the failure to provide a complete, certified copy of a birth certificate will ultimately be seen by those who must disclose details of their lives as a prerequisite to employment etc. as arrogance or worse.

I don't believe it would be difficult to call into question the character of a candidate who equivocates on important matters in order to eventually ridicule those who want nothing more than routine proof of his Constitutional eligibility.

I think Nulley's #2341 is a pretty fair response to WOSG's comments which are really pretty excessive in tone.

Whatever the merits, there is a body of news reports and investigative effort that suggests that there is no support for the proposition that he was born in Honolulu and at least a reasonable inference he was born in Kenya.

And the current look at the issue is addressed to a course of events that might have resulted in the actors being placed in that position.

The reason I wanted to address your post is the comment on the marriage--if they were married, I am reasonably confident that it stands up and Obama is not illegitimate and doesn't get under Sec. 1409, even if 1409 is in fact applicable. And I also take the marriage as a given because of the record of the divorce although I have not yet found the file--recitation of the content of the pleadings is accurate as far as the grounds are concerned and leads you to think the pleading exists. And gives us an excuse to look for what counsel said about where the marriage was contracted in the first place.

The Democrats opened the debate with a question about John McCain's right to be President since he was born in/near the Canal Zone.

Fair is fair. People who find it difficult to stomach "fairness" (Democrat style) should probably start looking for another country should the Democrats win.

BTW, a clear understanding of the hurdles Obama has faced to make him what he is today requires that we examine the nether reaches of his mother's lifestyle choices.

As late as 1966 the TransPacific route cases were still underway. I was introduced to the Post Office Department's involvement with the baggage and express rate case part of the regulatory process at that time.

When it was over there were SEVERAL airlines flying the Pacific. In 1961 there were so few airlines flying the Pacific, and so few flights, that it was common to take hops across the Atlantic and Indian Oceans to East Asian ports to then access Japan and Korea.

The Hay-Bunau Treaty, which granted the U.S. access to the Panama Canal Zone, specifically stated that the Canal Zone was not sovereign U.S. territory.

Notwithstanding comments to the contrary in the last day or so, the Dallas Morning News continues to report that McCain was born in the French "Colon" hospital, outside the canal zone.

A citizen? Yes, whether he was born in Africa or Akron.

Natural-born? Maybe, the lawyers are arguing the finer points of that right now. I'm inclined towards the side that says natural-born means born on US soil.

Part of what I'm saying isn't the law, it's what Stanley Ann thought was the law. That is what drove her actions.

It is very reasonable to believe that she thought out of country illegitimate birth (there's a phrase loaded with bias!) with a foreign national father would deny her baby citizenship, or at least complicate getting it asserted.

It is very reasonable to expect a new mommy - even a commie mommy - to want the best for her son, and to take steps to insure it.

You keep saying he was born in Honolulu, as if that were a given.

It's not a given. It might well be true, but smart people of good will are debating that, each side has good evidence supporting their views.

Game over. Barack’s eligible to be President, with 100% certainty, no matter WHERE he is born.

It's halftime. A bit early to declare victory.

We agree that he is a citizen, regardless of the location of his birth.

Even given the unquestionable facts of his meeting the age and residence requirements, citizenship, by itself, is not sufficient to hold office.

He has to be a "natural born" citizen. What exactly that phrase means has been the subject of a rather lively debate. I suspect that will be clarified a bit more during this election cycle.

Regardless of the outcome of that particular debate, politically this is a dead issue. If intelligent articulate conservatives can't present the issue clearly to each other what hope does it have for being clear in the minds of the average government school mal-educated voter?

San Fran was the principal route, and for passenger traffic I believe it was the only route until about 1967 (when the TransPacific Route rate cases were resolved).

Airlines were subject to two major disabilities in the 1960s when it came to the Pacific.

First of all, the Pacific is really big and planes then commonly used could barely make trips to Hawaii from San Fran and Tokyo. The 747 was put into service in 1970. The 737 in 1968. The 727 in 1963. The 707 saw its first flight in 1957.

The other disability was government regulation. Without an established rate no airplane at all could fly on a commercial route.

The new, big jets being planned and built by Boeing forced the issue of establishing rates for passengers, cargo, baggage, express and mail on routes that'd never before existed.

1961 was not really a good year to look for a cheap trip to Africa Fur Shur.

Typical.

The leftists are acting as if they had something to hide.

You got flack, you were over the target. Someone went to some effort to track down your home address, from this I surmise that the truth must be something sufficiently juicy to make it worthwhile.

Stay safe, and thanks for shining a little light in a cockroach and ‘rat infested corner.

WOSG, why do you suppose he was threatened, if the left has nothing to hide?

I submit that if there was nothing there, the left would be more than happy to let us spin our wheels and look foolish.

To your #2347: Sure looks like the same boy, wide-wristband watch and hair style. Who is the little girl?,

With all due respect, I don't think I agree with you.

In the 1970's, those wide wrist bands were the in thing. But look carefully at these two--the one on the boy in the airport has edges that extend well beyond the watch face; the one on Obama does not. Different.

He's thinner--look at the arms and ankles. His mouth is narrower--clearly much narrower. His nose is narrower.

Obama is just not the boy in the airport picture.

The picture I do have difficulty with is the family picture on the couch in Indonesia. If the boy there is presented as Obama, he doesn't look like either the yard picture here or the family Christmas picture from 1971.

Also a problem is the lack of an explanation for the half-brother being in Honolulu in 1960. They really got married in Honolulu and the half-brother son came for the wedding? If so, we ought to find the wedding somewhere and it will make it more difficult to put Stanley Ann in Kenya in that time frame although I remain of the view that likely that is where she went.

Incidentally, the little girl is the Indonesian half-sister who is now one of the primary sources of information and pictures.

False. Danny Pearl was in Pakistan.

I had the same recollection. Turns out that while yes, the was beheaded in Pakistan, he was investigating islamist funding with smuggled tanzanite. Tanzanite only comes from Tanzania (hence the name) and guess who controls the tanzanite mines and trade.

Yup, Barak's very own tribe, the Luo...

The trans-Pacific is a tough route to monitor Air Traffic wise until lately, because the long range radio contacts are so feeble and full of static. The radio operators who worked that are said to have had really good ears and a gift for it.

How old is Malik? Would he be around 10 in 1960-61?

I thought that BO, Sr was in his early 20s when he met Stanly Ann. He would have only been a early-mid teen when Malik was born if Malik was 10 in 1960.

What I'd like is for both Obama and McCain to be declared ineligible, and then we'd get a really weird "do over" of a really weird primary election season.

Me too.

But I don't expect to get that.
