Tax Rebate on "Windfall" tax revenue

Why shouldn't we have a rebate on the windfall taxes being collected by state and federal governments??

I have heard more than enough about Obama's idea regarding charging a windfall tax on oil companies profits. There have been trial balloons floated about temporaily eliminating the fuel taxes to give consumers a break at the pump and and Obama has said that will have no effect. Does anyone realize that goverment makes more in taxes on a gallon of gas than oil companies do?

Why doesn't someone suggest to Obama that we have a rebate on the windfall tax revenues being collected by government on the high price of gas??

McCain should start using language like this to get it in the MSM quotes. Unfortunately, instead of doing that, he will find a new way to spend it on new programs to fight "global warming".
