Amanda Simon explains the disappointment at the ACLU Blog.
After the amendments were effectively killed – along with any possible hope of court review of the president’s illegal and unconstitutional domestic spying program (can’t say that enough) – the votes for final passage were counted.The votes were cast and so was the dye. Final count: 69 to 28.
I can only say it’s been emotional. This isn’t the last you’ll be hearing from the ACLU on this subject — in fact, far from it. Keep an eye on this space for our continued and tireless work protecting the Fourth Amendment (and all the other ones, too, come to think of it).

Why God hasn’t struck every ACLU office with lightening and burned it down by now, I don’t know. There’s still hope.
Does this mean that the 9% of people who think Congress is doing a good job will finally evaporate?
The ACLU allows its members to believe in the existence of the soul? Will wonders never cease?
And didn’t Obama vote against this amendment or voted not to bring it up or something that got the libs all pissed off?
The ACLU woldn't know because it is a reference to the history of Western Civilization, which they wish to destroy.

“I guess we’ll have to do with a weakened 4th amendment for a while. Meantime let’s get behind the second. We shouldn’t need permits to purchase or carry arms any more than to speak or write. What are we going to do for the cause of liberty on that score?”

It's news to me. I had no idea that the ACLU was busy protecting the Second Amendment. I wonder how many lawsuits they have initiated over the Second Amendment and how many they have won.
This is based on the assumption that any of the Anti-Christian Lawyers Union even HAS a soul to be sucked out. I thought they sold it to the devil to pay their membership dues.
Well, technically you can, but it gets all over the carpet and is a bear to clean up.
Democrats/Liberals/Socialists/Communists and ACLU Plague Rats ain’t got no souls....and haven’t, for a long long time.
