Doomed to a fatal delusion over climate change

For a preview of America’s future if global warming advocates get elected (oh wait, BOTH candidates believe in this delusion) you have only to see what’s going on in Australia. Andrew Bolt describes what’s happening.

"A 17-year-old man was referred to the inpatient psychiatric unit at Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne with an eight-month history of depressed mood . . . He also . . . had visions of apocalyptic events."

..."The patient had also developed the belief that, due to climate change, his own water consumption could lead within days to the deaths of millions of people through exhaustion of water supplies."

The second from equally deluded politicians who are heading Australia’s government.

Here is Prime Minister Kevin Rudd yesterday, with his own apocalyptic vision: "If we do not begin reducing the nation's levels of carbon pollution, Australia's economy will face more frequent and severe droughts, less water, reduced food production and devastation of areas such as the Great Barrier Reef and Kakadu wetlands."

And here is a senior Sydney Morning Herald journalist aghast at the horrors described in the report on global warming released on Friday by Rudd's guru, Professor Ross Garnaut: "Australians must pay more for petrol, food and energy or ultimately face a rising death toll . . ."

The truth is actually rather simple. Developing countries are not willing to be patsies to the fevered imaginations of the Greenies who want to consign most of humanity to living in hovels, one meal away from starvation, to assuage the paranoid delusions of people like Al Gore whose own level of consumption of the earth’s resources is obscene by Greenie standards.

What the politicians in Australia and the rest of the developed world are doing is a cynical pandering to the delusions of the “Earth First” vote. Forget about the world’s poor becoming middle class. Screw them, say the Greenies. We’ve got ours. You third worlders can be the world’s theme park from which we can cull a few adaption babies for Hollywood starlets and places where we can go to be photographed against a backdrop of colorful natives who play their role as if they were extras in a movie set.

There is something sick and perverted about this view. It is clinical and it should be treated. The seventeen year old youth was a threat only to himself. The leaders of Australia and the candidates for president in the US are threats to their people. People like this should in no case be allowed near the levers of power.

True, but if the Greenies constrain the Developed world economies; it will be disaster for the Developing countries and catastrophic for the Undeveloped countries.

I`m afraid we will be seeing more and more of this type of thing. Kids are being constantly bombarded with stories about how the planet is dying and how it`s all their fault.

Theres even a carbon footprint test for kids that tells them when they should die.
