But what's this, tucked in at the bottom?
If leaners are included, Obama leads McCain by an even narrower 47% to 44%.
Three points? In New Jersey?
Put Rudy on the ticket and the GOP picks up 15 electoral votes in the Garden State.

Buddy of mine told me about an AOHell straw poll, said entire nation was red. That was over the 4th weekend.

Getting to know the real Obama has been a real bitch for his campaign despite biased media efforts to hide facts and confuse voters...
To: Always Right
Very strange. Yesterday the pundits on Hardball could barely contain their glee at what they believe will be an Obama rout.
I'm not seeing it, but then again I'm not a shill for the DNC.

Like him or not, it was so refreshing to see Rudy on Fox & Friends this morning actually exposing The Messiah Lord Barack Obama on his liberalism and total inexperience. And Steve was loving it...finally no swooning.

Giuliani is not the perfect candidate either, but he would be ripping Obama to shreds on most issues. McCain almost apologizes for being a Republican. His ads are putrid and disgusting. He should be proud of his role in fomenting the surge, but all his ads talk about is ripping Bush and creating new energy plans. He totally ignores the victory in Iraq which has virtually crippled Al-Qaeda and created the first working Arab democracy. AND MCCAIN HAD A BIG HAND IN THIS VICTORY, AND HE DOESN’T EVEN WANT TO TALK ABOUT HIS OWN ROLE IN A MAJOR AMERICAN VICTORY OVER ISLAMOFASCISM! Sheesh, what a candidate to back.
To: Miss Didi; Jeff Head
There are some things I like Giuliani for, and he could do a good job in certain posts, but I could not support him for President or VP, since I could not trust him on abortion, the Constitution, and the Supreme Court.
To: Miss Didi
Good point. Rudy is very good at spelling things out. He said the same things last night on Hannity.

What happened to all these 15 point leads Obama is suppose to have nationally.Shhhhhhh.....don't confuse the MSM. The narrative is that Obama is the only candidate, and he'll win big.
IMHO, barring any huge screwups by McCain, Obama loses. And I wouldn't be surprised if he loses in a landslide.

The only thing that a President can do about abortion would be to appoint justices that would overturn Roe.
That would be a great thing, but all it would do would be to eliminate abortion in those states whose legislatures chose to enact laws prohibiting it.
Do you think that would get rid of the majority of abortions in America? I do not.
So although I am very much opposed to abortion, it can't be the deciding issue to me in a Presidential race.

I wouldn’t think Obama has much of a chance either, but considering weaker candidates by the name of Gore and Kerry came within one state of winning, who knows what voters will do.

In private, the RATs have to be concerned that Obama has not been able to open up a meaningful lead on McCain.
The big test to me is going to come down to the Dem National Convention. If Bambi can convince reluctant undecided voters that he is a viable candidate, he'll win. If he leaves them with some doubt, they'll stick with the "safer" choice of McCain.
To: Bill Dupray
Heard the same thing in 2000 and especially 2004 about Bush having a chance in NJ. Of course he got his clocked cleaned both times.
Memo to McCain: Don’t waste your time and money in NJ. The state is hopeless.

I like Giuliani, he pulls no punches and just tells it like it is, like it or not. I’m not a single issue voter though. I don’t like his view of abortion but IMHO at the point we are right now in history preserving and protecting the Republic are the most import things right now.

It would be great to have Mayor Giuliani on the ticket attacking Hussein, someone has to do it!
(btw, he has campaigned for pro-life, conservative candidates since l998, right here in my state too.)
He can be ruthless, a very refreshing change.

I live in the socialist craphole of NJ. I knew we had no shot at any national elections in the last decade. Even when the Dems switched Toricelli out at the last second and put in Lautenberg in '02, I knew the dems would win. I have no doubt Lautenberg will roll Zimmer like a circus clown and be reelected in November. HOWEVER...................
Obama will lose Jersey. Admittedly, my conjecture is based purely on anecdotal evidence. I had to endure endless amounts of pro-Kerry BS in '04. I hear very little Obama enthusiasm this year. Even a buddy of mine (who is half a commie) says he will be voting for McCain. You heard it here first.
Oh, and by the way-McCain closed to within 3 points in Rasmussens daily poll today. this was the first time he managed to be that close. For Obama, it only goes downhill from here.

It feels like Obama has “jumped the shark” with his “victory” over Hillary. As the people get to know him—the less they will find to like. This is McCain’s election to lose. Fear not and trust to the American People’s will.

Over the Fourth weekend, I asked my NY/FL residing retired parents what they were hearing among friends on the golf course, at the Elks, at dinners, at poker, etc. I said--soooooo, are people talking about Obama? They replied--are you kidding??? Talking about not voting for him!

I found it encouraging, too. And you can count on the retired folks to vote. However, I still say that Mrs. Clinton swipes the nomination somehow. And that she’d be easy to beat.

I agree. Hitlery could be the nominee. The Clinton Machine is alive and well and positioning it’self for Obama’s big fall. I don’t know if she would be easier to beat but 95% of blacks wouldn’t vote for her if Obama is dropped. But that’s why we have riot police.

I think the internal polls are very bad for Obama. a number of prominent figures from Red/Swing states have categorically turned down the VP slot. (Webb and Warner from Va., Strickland from Ohio, and Rendell from Pa.). They don’t want to be on the wrong side of a blowout.

So is that why he's doing the mega convention speech and trip to the Berlin Wall...keep the Drive-Bys swooning and hope that the rest of America catches on? I think he's coming across as even more super smug and arrogant lately. (he makes Bubba seem like a humble guy) Rush played clips of Barry ripping McCain today on one of his adviser's economy comments...acting real cool cracking jokes with the audience in hysterics, he sounded as ignorant as ever.

I’m glad to hear it. I left NJ 32 years ago and live in Texas. I’ve never been sorry. Since the Dems took control of NJ it’s gone downhill. They tax everything there. It’s a wonder they haven’t put a tax on all newborns at the hospital, just to get them used to paying the
State for living and breathing.

True story. They passed a gym tax-I call it the "bench press tax". I live in a very conservative area (Morris County). The gym owner had a sign saying that Corzine just added 7% to your gym membership and if we had a problem to take it up with the guv.
I hate this state but I am too entrenced in my career to leave. Wish I had left for Tennessee after grad school.
