In Defense of Karl Rove

Have any of you seen Karl Rove, former Deputy Chief of Staff to President Bush, on FOX news lately? He is a clever guy, isn't he? Indeed, quite brilliant in my eyes which makes me wonder why his name has such negative connotations, especially in the more liberal newspapers like the NY or LA Times. It seems the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee is trying to obtain information from Mr. Rove concerning the firing of several U.S. Attorneys by the President. Now, the way I understand it, the President has the right to fire any U.S. attorney. (This isn't the teachers union!) In fact, Bill Clinton fired I think the figure is 94, U.S. attorneys and Mr. Clinton's staff was not subjected to any subpoenas. As they shouldn't have been.

Rove is smart. The key strategist who won two presidential elections. Anyone who is an effective Republican the Dems will go after him because they are vindictive. On the firing of the US attorneys the Dems have nothing. No there there. They are trying to sway public perception against Rove, the Bush administration and the Republicans in general.

Unfortunately public perception is everything. I happen to believe that the People are smarter than that. Really, don't you agree that the liberal Democrats are like zombies? They don't make any sense and are blatant about it.

The 2006 strategy was pretty eye-popping too. The GoP or remnants thereof will be paying for that one for years.

Yes, humans perception will trump truth when they differ. Most people usually are trusting and do not have the time to investigate so the Dems, their allied media take advantage of that fact. The Dems are about personal power above all.

By being on Fox news, this have given all the RATs to see how intelligent Rove really is. It pisses them off to see how bright this guy really is. Like, how come we never have or can’t get this bright of a guy working on our side. It drives the Rats nuts. Just like they can’t understand how Fox news kicks all the other lefty cable news channels a@@ night in and night out. They just can’t understand it!! LOL I love it. They can’t understand how so many of us can actually listen to the news and make our own decisions. It drives them freakin nuts. HaHaHa

Every time he's on, Hannity calls him "The Architect". Makes me want to puke.

Rove's smart, no doubt, but he's also big on "comprehensive immigration reform", i.e. amnesty for illegals.

Rove is smart - something that scares the living $hit out of the liberal dims. They don’t have to be smart just cunning, underhanded, unethical and without any moral values. So it frightens them witless to deal with “smart”. They feel they have to bring him down.

To be consistent with Bill Clinton, Bush should have asked for the resignations of all of them.

They don’t consider it a waste of time and money, because it helps them get re-elected. So what if they have to use your money to do it?

You'll notice that Hannity doesn't interrupt Colmes when he is interviewing Rove. Hannity will display a large smile like the cat who ate the canary during a Rove interview. Rove just hands Colmes his head every time during interviews, and Colmes always looks like he needs to constipate on the spot! ... It puts a smile on my face too.

:-)

Eveyone should ask themselves if they like the current direction and focus of the GOP because Rove is at least partly to blame for this.

I think Rove did his job well in the position that he had. Whether he’s to blame, even slightly, for the downfall of the GOP, I don’t think so. It’s the Republican State Party leaders and elected officials who get wrapped up in their own lives and aspirations. They stopped spreading the message, and at times act like apologists to the Democrats. Of course the fact that just about every media outlet, save the Internet, is left leaning and routinely bashes Republicans doesn’t help. I remember hearing on the news all these terrible things about Republicans (this was in the late 80s) and thinking my Dad is a Republican and he’s nothing like they say. So, I never really believed the charge.
