It depends on who your wife is buddy.
So he gets credit for the "it's the institution I don't like" and the "Marriage - it doesn't mean anything, It's how you feel" excuses. But he might have tried, "It's not you; it's me," or "Let's not rush this thing." Given what a sweet, loving, uncontrolling, happy-go-lucky, catch Michelle seems to be, I'm surprised he had to use any of these old cliches.
