Do LDS members really believe Jesus and Satan were brothers?
Segment tagline: Carl and Helen encounter two LDS Members.
Synopsis: (Part 1 introduces Carl, the main antagonist in the story.) Since the death of his fiancée, Carl has become a drop out, heavy drug user and, most recently, a homeless street performer in Washington, D.C. The conflict is over whether God is a triune being or whether God, the Son and the Holy Ghost are separate beings. This controversy stretches back many centuries. The Nicene and Athanasian Creeds were an attempt to lay this to rest (they did not succeed).
If God and the Son are one and the same then Lucifer would not be the Son’s brother but one of the uncountable sentients created by God. If God the Father and Jesus are separate then Jesus too is a creation and as such is “brother” to Lucifer (and to all of us).
I don’t put any of this forward for the purpose of argument. I find such arguments futile at best and positively evil at worst.

Even if they were brothers, how would anyone know or be able to prove it? It still boils down to a person’s belief.

I understand futile arguements, but how is an arguement positively evil?

Why not let Jesus himself define who are his “brothers”? As at Luke 8:21.

(you don't have to be brilliant, not being stupid is enough.)

Fine with me, if that’s what you believe.
