Yes, its tough being a conservative voter these days. But the truth is its always been.
Think about it. There have been 232 years of U.S. history. In how many of them could you have shared a conservative principle such as the one that follows with big shot politicians, bureaucrats, and judges and received a truly honest, deeply committed handshake of agreement in return?
I believe Jefferson was entirely correct when he observed that the people themselves . . . are the safest depository of [political power]. I also believe that because Jefferson condemned judges who practice on the Constitution by inferences, analogies, and sophisms, he would bitterly condemn todays Liberal Activists who, like medieval sorcerers, divine meaning from penumbras formed by emanations of the Constitutions words.
Of course, the point of the question is simply to say that when voters advance common sense, time-tested conservative principles to politicians and other governmental elites, they almost always receive not a warm handshake offered by a political kindred spirit but the same condescending smile those high-and-mighty frauds direct at people who tell them, I take the principles of my religion seriously.

Then you are SOL, because if it's either of the two imbeciles running for POTUS, within the next ten, or so years it will be tossed out with the garbage ... forcing some of us to take back our government.

The Constitution is subject to change; through amendment, not judicial tyranny and temporary whims.
I believe Jefferson was entirely correct when he observed that the people themselves . . . are the safest depository of [political power].
Responsible people are safe, crackheads, charity cases, professional students and other types of liberals can’t be trusted with political power.
..since I was one vote away from losing my 2nd Amendment Right!
Second Amendment rights can’t be taken away by a vote.
Jefferson was a huge fan of the French revolution and made excuses for the excesses of the Guillotine. He might not be as big a opponent of some of the expansionist court. The Supreme Court can be reigned in anytime congress wants to, Article III Section 2 allows congress to strip jurisdiction from the courts.

Indeed.
The Supreme Court made an important ruling last week regarding the 2nd Amendment as it relates to private gun ownership. They ruled that the United States Constitution does support the right of private citizens to own firearms. The amazing thing about this decision is the closeness of the vote. It was 5 in favor and 4 against.
It is not possible for the scumbags to take away my second amendment right, or any other right, even if they vote 9 - 0 to do so. Let them try.
I'd say this was correct until the Left infiltrated the education system.
Now we have a nation of pathos incapable of self-determination, dependent upon the government's Socialist teat for survival and who, because they lack contact with reality, endanger the rest of us through 'political activism' instead of addressing their own pathos.
A living constitution means there's no constitution. That's why the puke liberals came up with it.
