SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - San Francisco voters, never thrilled with George W. Bush, may give the president a parting shot in November by naming a sewage plant after him.
A ballot measure aimed at deriding the Republican president by renaming the city's newest sewage plant qualified on Thursday after organizers submitted 7,168 signatures to the local Department of Elections, officials said.

Just do it already. They are the ones who will end up being laughed at.
In any case, a good sewage treatment plant is truly something useful. I’d rather have one named after me than some damn gov’t office building any day.

I really hope they do it. Besides making them look really shallow, it also reveals them for the idiots they are. If they don't even realize the purpose of a water treatment plant (turning c*** into a life giving resource) then they deserve to be embarrassed. Frankly, I wouldn't mind having something like this named after me. Something that turns useless waste into a vital resource for a city, wow, what an honor.

I'd rather have one named after me than some damn gov’t office building any day. Isn't a treatment plant really the antithesis of a government building anyway.
In a treatment plant, c*** goes in, a resource comes out.
In a government building, resources go in, c*** comes out.

This is a gift to Republicans who can now claim they take all the sh*t coming out of Democrats and turn it into something useful.

And thus the opposition to Bush is reduced to purely symbolic measures like this; a better demonstration of their impotence, ineffectiveness and general cluelessness will not be had.
And I would suggest to the fine, upstanding citizens of SF to consider their braindeadness; sewage plants are absolutely vital.
This is quite a compliment.
After all, civilization is really defined by the ability to take care of shit.

Seems VERY appropriate. G.W. always seems to handle the sH*t the Libs hand out and then he turns the tables on them after all is said and done.
Of course San Francisco Libs seem to wallow in their own sH*t and enjoy spreading it around.

I recall about when I first saw a T-Shirt that said, "Places to Go, People to Annoy."
I wondered how anyone could be so devoid of elan vitale that he would bother the espouse such a sentiment.
I never dreamt then that it would become a virtual national anthem.

It would take an enormous sewage plant to handle all of the waste coming from Frisco.

Sodom by the Bay can bestow no greater honor.
I have a question, though.
Can a plant with the necessary capacity be built?
