No, I signed up here because the dailyKos was full (he muttered sarcastically)... do you have a point?
I signed up here because a friend recommended the site as being a worthy forum for conservative dialogue and intellectual discourse. Perhaps you don't have a problem with sound bite politics, after all they are clear, concise and don't require much thought to process and digest. As John McCain is our presumptive nominee, barring the introduction of a viable independent conservative candidate, I intend to support him. That does not mean I will not make every effort to steer him back towards the base and away from pandering at La Raza conventions. The choice is to allow him to drift left in an attempt to gain votes, or to attempt to persuade the independents among us towards the right, one does that with logical reasoning, not sound bites. It is a sad state of affairs when the candidates are a socialist (and I'll be kind) and a centrist. Shouldn't we leave juvenile responses to the opposing party? If you disagree, try pointing out the flaws of my reasoning instead of some vague notion of what? Blogger seniority?

OK, here's the deal. First, the general way this forum works it that you post article or excerpts from major media, then discuss them. Vanities are permitted, but generally frowned upon. If you are going to post one, it should be well thought out and present some reasoned argument that isn't already being addressed on a zillion other threads. The point is it should be a rare occasion. I have probably posted no more than a half dozen vanities in the last ten years.

So when you post a one line vanity on your second day, one that begs for reasoned arguments, but makes none itself, well, it's not going to be well received.
