Last night on Anderson Cooper 360, two CNN political analysts charged that Senator Obama overstepped his authority as a United States Senator in acting as a negotiator with the Iraqi government and publicly disclosing statements made during those interviews.

During an interview with Anderson Cooper, David Gergen, CNN's Senior Political Analyst stated,...

“No Congressional Member has the authority to engage in negotiations or dictate US foreign policy. Yesterday’s actions show a clear arrogance and lack of respect for the office of the presidency and state department.”

I think Obama is too clueless to show a lack of respect. He’s just a self-obsessed megalomaniac, riding on a wave of the black bloc vote and white guilt, who lacks the knowledge of the policy issues he’s sticking his nose into to even understand when his actions might or might not be appropriate.

This guy is a lightweight, not all that bright and not all that knowledgeable.

And it is awful presumptious of him to be in talks with a foreign leader in a country in which we are at war. By releasing his conversations publicly to give himself more credibility, I hope he has shown the middle east that just because he is a good talker it doesn’t make him a good person or leader. And truly an idiot.

Funny how much emphasis is placed on appearance in this country. I don’t think President Bush is an idiot at all, but he sure can screw up some sentences. I do think Obama is an idiot, but he has certainly mastered the english language.

At least Bill Clinton was a good orator and could think on his toes. In that respect, Clinton is miles above Obama.

I’m still wondering if he ate any of the bacon on his plate at the Afgan air base.

Lol, that’s right. We haven’t had any reports on whether or not he eats all the items on his breakfast plate.

That is the irony of this story. I had flipped over to CNN during a Fox commercial and about fell off the couch when I heard them criticize Obama.

Jim Geraghty has quotes here at The Campaign Spot:

‘It’s not up to Barack Obama right now to negotiate troop withdrawals.’

I loathe quoting David Gergen, but it must be a blue moon, because he just said something interesting:

CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360”
July 21, 2008

David Gergen: “I think it was the first — Barack Obama made the first mistake of his trip, in my judgment, in releasing a statement in which he said exactly what Maliki had said in those conversations. We have a long tradition in this country that we only have one president at a time. He’s the commander in chief and the negotiator in chief. I cannot remember a campaign which a rival seeking the presidency has been in a position negotiating a war that’s under way with another party outside the country. I think he leaves himself open to the charge tonight that he’s meddling, that this is not his role, that he can be the critic, but he’s not the negotiator. We have a president who does that. So, I think the underlying facts support him, but I think it would be a real mistake — and I think it was a mistake — to get into these conversations and let it be used politically.”

CNN’s Anderson Cooper: “That’s interesting. Gloria, do you think this is the first mistake he made on this trip?”

Gloria Borger: “You know, it’s very interesting, I do agree with David. And Candy, in her earlier piece, talked about walking the fine line between being this candidate and being presumptuous. And I think that he may just have crossed that, because, you know, it is a tradition. You don’t talk about these private conversations. And it’s not up to Barack Obama right now to negotiate troop withdrawals. It’s up to Barack Obama to be on a fact-finding mission, which is indeed what he has said he was on.”
Obama sits down for this first network news interview this evening. Will Katie Couric ask about this?

Tut, tut, tut. These are just minor technicalities obstructing “change we can believe in”. You don’t need to bother with such little things when you’re always on the side of the angels.

Expect more of the same.

But, he’s a democrat, and democrats vote like Cub fans - our team do or die.

It doesn’t matter who the nominee is. My PhD in-laws are going to vote for him over McCain, even though they admit that he doesn’t have the credentials to be made a Regional Sales Manager, let alone President.

My blue collar brothers, and their ilk, they are voting McCain. They refer to him as ‘the affirmative action candidate’.

My brother’s father in law asked, “Since when was the Office of the President designated a federal job setaside?”

I’m not sure that the left has completely lost their minds. We’ll see I guess.

Someone in the DBM criticized Obama?

From the “presumtive nominee” to the Presumptive President” - complete with his own [presumptive] seal!

(sung to the tune of “Loves Me Like A Rock”):
And if I was the [presumptive] President
And the Congress called my name
I’d say “now who do.... who do you think you’re foolin’?”
I got the [presumptive] Presidential seal
Up on my [presumptive] presidential podium
My [typical white] Mama loves me
She loves me
She gets down on her knees and hugs me
And she loves me like a rock
She rocks me like the Rock of Ages
My [typical white] Mama loves me....

(apologies to Paul Simon)

Didn’t dems go nuts over reagan supposedly threatening iran AFTER securing the election.

B.Hussein is presuming too much.

Katie Couric is going to ask him if his feet had swollen very much after such a long flight there and does he go to Walmart or Sam's Club to get his pictures developed.

I lived with a narcissist as a child. The world really revolves around their ego. I learn the best way to co-exist with a narcissist was to feed the ego even when it became unbearable.

My mom was a real prima donna!

She wanted complete loyality from her subjects because that feeds into her narcissist self importance.

Props are very important to a narcissist.

It’s all about image and she lied away to perserve that image. Pretty soon the most loyal supporters will see the delusions of Grandeur for themselves and come to their senses.

What really makes a narcissist come undone is when loyality starts to evaporate. Her cast members leave the scene and exit off the stage.

Paranoid sets in and good people get blamed for something narcissist created. Good people don’t like it when prima donnas have a temper tantrums.

This is where a narcissist hangs himself.

Just wait and see....Obama will do the same thing....

More important, he does not compell me to follow him, rather, I have a reflex urge to do or believe in just the opposite of what he stands for.

I know, he sounded like a con man to me the first time I heard him. Too much cotton candy and hope and change with so little substance and connection to the real world.

I’m questioning if he violated a law as well. If he didn’t, we need to get one in place. As much as I hate new laws.

I don’t think she tightly wrapped either.
She’s only been in the Senate for six years so she has limited experience too.

But I never heard her speak about parting waters.
Have you?

Don't forget his allegiance to the indian monkey god which he carries in his pocket.

Superstitious fool. Hussein's step-dad was muslim, but he also liked the monkey god which he passed on to a young Barry.

Who wants a superstitious President? B Hussein is superstitious. He's probably into feng shui as well. You know Oprah is. Superstitious folks are freaks. Everything is a sign in the natural. He carries a Indian good-luck charm in his pocket to ward off evil. He needs to just stop already with his multicultural/faith world view and move abroad.

From The Times of India:

Obama to get Hanuman idol

NEW DELHI: With Democrat senator Barack Obama busy in the run-up to the US presidential polls, a group of well-wishers in the capital have decided to send him a symbol of his lucky charm, Lord Hanuman, to help him emerge victorious.

Obama’s representative Carolyn Sauvage-Mar on Tuesday received a gold-plated two-feet-high idol which she will pass it on to the Obama after it is sanctified.

The idol is being presented to Obama as he is reported to be a Lord Hanuman devotee and carries with him a locket of the monkey god along with other good luck charms.

An hour-long prayer meeting to sanctify the idol was earlier organized at Sankat Mochan Dham and by Congress leader Brijmohan Bhama, Balmiki Samaj and the temple’s priests.

“Obama has deep faith in Lord Hanuman and that is why we are presenting an idol of Hanuman to him,” said Bhama.

Accepting the souvenir, Sauvage-Mar, who is chairperson of Democrats Abroad-India, said, “Obama has extended his thanks for the support.”

However, questions on Obama’s religious beliefs elicited just a smile from Sauvage-Mar (wink/wink, nod/nod - foolish politically-correct Americans), apparently to avoid controversy back home where the Democrat senator is pitted against the Republican Party’s John McCain in the Presidential polls.

The idol will be kept at the temple for 11 more days and then sent to US.

“We will perform the prayers for 11 days and then hand the idol to Carolyn who will send it to Obama,” said the temple priest.

Note that in Hinduism, it is perfectly acceptable to believe in and call upon Jesus at the same time as Hanuman, as Hinduism believes that all religious paths lead to the same final destination. (oh, how convenient for Hussein - just like muslims are allowed to lie about their faith in order to fool infidels)

With all due respect to the religious beliefs of followers of Hanuman…

So the Obamessiah is currently an avowed Christian (or rather, a member of a church that adheres to racist theology/ideology and has a loony reverend), but grew up nominally Muslim and is looked up to by Muslims worldwide as one of their own, and now carries a Hindu idol in his pocket and has the blessings of Hindus.
