WEXLER'S RESIDENTIAL FRAUD
Atlas Shrugs ^ | July 22, 2008 | Pamela Geller

Posted on 07/23/2008 6:09:14 AM PDT by Fox_Mulder77

One of the most liberal members of Congress in Florida Robert Wexler (Obamapropagandist and notorious leftist) is not a resident of his district. He has lived in Maryland since the late 90s. He claims to live in a house in Del Ray (owned by his mother-law) in an active adult community where no children are allowed, though he has three children). You can't live there with kids, it's against the rules of the community.

Another example of Democrat hubris - I am above the law. It seems he has no connection to Florida at all. Clearly it's a phantom residence, he ain't sleeping on monster-in-law's couch with his three children.John Fund wrote earlier today (hat tip Larwyn)

An opponent of U.S. Rep. Robert Wexler, D-Delray Beach, has accused the six-term congressman of playing a residency shell game, saying Wexler pretends to keep an address in Florida while flagrantly making his home in Maryland.

Edward Lynch, a Republican running for Wexler's congressional seat

"The house he lists on his voter registration is his in-laws' house in a gated 55-and-older community," Lynch said this afternoon. "Legally, he can't move back with children under 18."

Lynch said Wexler's three children attend Charles W. Smith Jewish Day School in Rockville, Md... Lynch, meanwhile, said he intends to file legal papers about the issue in the coming weeks.

As I said earlier.......

Follow the money. (Translation: Tax evasion)

Then again, Maryland, run by the quack “Gov. O’Mallard” would never allow Doug Gansler, his AG and fellow RAT to procecute “Wexler the Weasle.”

Wait, you’re saying Dimocraps actually have to LIVE with the people they are supposed to represent? I thought Dimocraps were above such petty rules?

What a shame. I'm certain the voters of Palm Beach County are shocked.

Wexler has such an honest and caring face too.

I don’t think it is appropriate for a news story to publish the precise school this cretin’s kids attend. It would have been enough to state that they attend a jewish day scool in MD (name withheld to protect the family’s privacy) or something like that.

That aside, the disinfectant of sunlight could not happen to a better leftist. He’s been pimping his liberalism uber alles book lately. He’s also not the sharpest knife in the drawer. ‘Pod.

No not really shocked as most of them claim to be a Florida resident for State tax and Estate Tax purposes but live else where.

Way back in the 70s, Democrat Senator Dick Clark of Iowa was found to own no property in Iowa. He was defeated in the next election but not before some court ruled a congressional representative didn't have to own property to represent his state. He/she only had to have lived there for a certain number of months prior to the election.

I bet he votes in both locations too. Why did it take into his sixth term to discover this fraud?

Wasn’t there a big issue just before Rick Santorum’s last election concerning a similar situation? It had to do with his children’s education, I believe? I am guessing the media will not cover this situation with the same thoroughness...

Well, his last opponent brought this up, but the media ignored it..... it took OReilly to reveal this.

Isn't it nice how Congressmen passed a law that let's them choose which state they can be taxed in? Isn't it nice they passed a law that exempts them from paying into Social Security like the rest of us peons? Isn't it nice that they voted themselves the best health insurance plan on the planet at no cost to themselves? Isn't it nice they voted themselves a retirement plan that gives them full salary and health coverage for life after just 4 years of service?

About the only good thing to come out of Washington recently was Harry Reid's statement that Federal Income taxes are now voluntary. I wonder how many of us will volunteer to support the kind of abuse we see Wexler and his ilk engage in year after year.

This was on the O’Reilly Factor last night and apparently it’s all legal. The only ones who can do anything about it are the voters in his district. Being a congressman is a good life, si?

Remember, he doesn't have to live in his district, but he DOES have to live in his state.

"The house he lists on his voter registration is his in-laws' house in a gated 55-and-older community," Lynch said this afternoon. "Legally, he can't move back with children under 18."

Could he legally move back WITHOUT his kids? It seems an under-55 adult child wouldn't be allowed to live with his parents in a 55-and-older gated community.

Well here’s the problem: his Maryland home is listed as NOT being his primary residence. And he pays no property tax in Florida because he doesn’t own the home.
Add to that the fact that he votes in Florida, and is listed as a Florida resident: one must live in Florida for 6 mos. out of the year to claim residency!!

I doubt 7 people live in his in-laws home 6 mos. out of the year, especially since the home has only 3 bedrooms and 2 baths.....

One other thing: his in-laws don’t pay property taxes on their Florida home.... they get a disabled veteran tax exemption..... Wexler won’t elaborate on this!
