New York Times Trashes Obama's Health Care Plan
The Patriot Room ^ | July 23, 2008 | Bill Dupray

First, they can't even understand what the hell the Messiah is proposing.

Furthermore, it is not completely clear what he is promising. [snip]

“What we’re trying to do,” said one of the advisers, David Cutler, in explaining the gap between Mr. Obama’s words and his intent, “is find a way to talk to people in a way they understand.”

Try English, moron. See, socialists have a hard time explaining these "complicated" policies to the little people because the have to dodge, hedge, and deflect, lest someone figure out that the policy is an utter boondoggle designed to take away our money and freedom.

And even if the Times did understand the plan, they say it won't happen.

It is one of the most audacious promises in a campaign that has been thick with them.

Whether Mr. Obama can deliver is a matter of considerable dispute among health analysts and economists. While there is consensus that the American health care system is bloated with waste, eliminating enough to save $2,500 per family would require simultaneous and synergistic solutions to a host of problems that have proved intractable for decades. Even if the next president and Congress can muster the political will, analysts question whether significant savings would materialize in as little as four years, or even in 10.

Is this thing turning into a turkey shoot, or is it just me?

Yeah, and talking down to people isn't the way to do it. Obamaniac's way of speaking to the 'little people' reflects his arrogance.

Since when did the NY Times care about fact, truth, plausible data, realistic ideas?

No turkey shoot. The MSM will do a piece every now and then that is oh so mildly critical of some individual aspect of BO, just so they can pat themselves on the back for their “objective” journalism.

Nonetheless, what_not2007 to what_not2007, give the NYTimes credit for scrutinizing it.

I think with the Times...you are looking at 90 percent of them being pro-Hillary and they aren’t over the defeat yet...and they may never get over the defeat. I’m guessing around the US...easily four million Democrats who purely won’t vote Obama...so we better start grasping at this potential.

I’m not so sure. I think some of the print media, who actually have to craft something and use their brains (unlike the network idiots who entertain the sheeple with pretty pictures) are having some buyer’s remorse after seeing his utter lack of substance, and might try to sink him before the convention.

find a way to talk to people in a way they understand

Is that why he says stuff like "Our health care system has become a disease care system..."?

It is, but the MSM is not reporting the scores.

State and Federal run hospitals are models of efficiency! Yes to Obama's plan!

Firings and Dismay After Woman's Death at Hospital

"NEW YORK, July 2 -- It was a nightmare captured on surveillance video. A woman who had waited nearly 24 hours to be seen in a Brooklyn public hospital collapsed, fell face-down on the floor, convulsed and for nearly an hour -- while several hospital staff members looked at her and one staff member even prodded her with her foot -- received no aid. At some point during that time, she died.

New York Times criticizes Obama FROM THE LEFT!!

But it gives them the right to claim they are totally fair and criticize everyone.

The NYT is pro Obama. So, let’s throw Hilliary under the bus, too? Heck, I have not heard a word from her since she conceeded to the messiah and his wife promised everyone a free ride for college, health care, to you name it.

His promises to all would bankrupt this nation for good. He makes no sense period. Whatever he is smoking- I do not want it.

Make no mistake, I am no fan of any socialist. How can anyone make such a statement? How do we get $2500 extra per family with all the other freebees that Obama has promised?

This country cannot afford anymore social programs, tax and spend politicians, much less can we take a chance on anyone as inexperienced and full of fantasies of utopia as BHMO is.

Obama is in fantasy land. The only thing he would take away from “sit on your ass, lay down your showel, light up a camel, welcome to the promised land” is your camel. It would not be his smokes.

His handlers have to wonder how they got into the mess of dealing with such a space cadet.
