OLYMPICS PART THREE: CHINA–LET THE GAMES BEGIN, BUT WHY THERE?

If all the hype about the meaning and reasoning behind the Olympics ever meant anything, (See Part One), why, just a few generations after the inception of the modern Olympiad, was Hitler’s Germany awarded the 1936 Games?

Why were the 1980 Olympics held in the U.S.S.R., a nation which had an obscene record of terror, international intrigue, militarism, and repression in Eastern Europe, and which had invaded Afghanistan less than a year earlier.

And why in the name of God were this summer’s Olympics bestowed upon the warlike, autocratic, and repressive People’s Republic of China?

Aside from the fact China is World Class Polluter #1 whose cities are barely habitable due to their poor air quality and whose waterways are fetid cesspools,...

There are some people who believe that giving the Chinese Olympics would democratize the country the way it did to South Korea. I don’t know if that’s true with S. Korea. It took many years after Moscow Olympics before the USSR broke up.

Aren't the world commies in the MSM looking forward to creating a 2-week long commercial for this totalitarian oligarchy? I'm really curious to see how it play.
