What we have is a failure to hold Congress accountable - and that holds true for both parties. From the mortgage graft to Chris Dodd to the ethanol/ag subsidy graft that infects both parties, Congress now believes (and probably correctly so) that no matter how outrageous their actions, there will be no accounting by voting the bums out.
