I’ve listened to your show regularly since you went national. And I have been a 24/7 subscriber ever since you started that, so I almost never miss one of your shows.

I hope to be celebrating several more decades of you on the Air, with you!

I started listing to Rush back during the Gulf War. I was so fed up the same media hand wringing and reporting of war protesters I could have screamed.

Rush's winning comment of the time, “The luckiest man in Iraq will be played by Ted Kennedy, because he knows what it like to drive across a bridge while bombed.”

I could never express how much Rush means to me. He reaffirms my beliefs, he makes me laugh instead of scream. Listening to Rush is my addiction.

My local radio broadcast the Royals ballgames instead of Rush occasionally. I have those days marked on my calendar so I remember to listen online instead!

I have an aunt (91 yrs old) that says she would never listen to him because she heard he made the, “talent on loan from God” statement. I tried to explain it to her but I gave up after I could see she was getting upset.

Your story is similar to mine. I live in Jacksonville, NC, the home of Camp Lejeune MCB. During the First Gulf War, all but a few thousand of our Marines were deployed to the Persian Gulf, including the husbands of five of my students at the Community College where I teach. So many of our students were affected that our Executive Vice President came around personally to the classrooms that had TVs mounted on the wall and enabled them to receive CNN so that loved ones could keep informed of what was going on.

My father was a talk radio listener before there was very much to choose from to listen to and I can remember saying to myself many times that I would "never" listen to talk radio. If you recall, during the war, Colon Powell would personally give news briefings about the events of the day about 3:00 pm EST and most of the community was glued to the TV during those briefings. I was sometimes in the car or out on my daily walk usually listening to "oldies" on the radio. One day, I did something that changed my life forever. I, the talk radio hater, tuned in to our local talk station in order to hear the update and caught the end of Rush's show. Like so many have said, I was amazed to hear someone espousing my own conservative beliefs in such a humorous, entertaining manner and I was hooked! That was over 15 years ago and I have been a loyal listener ever since. I am a member of Rush 24/7, so I never have to miss the show thanks to the miracle of the internet.

Rush, thanks is not a big enough word to express my gratitude for the influence you have had on my life. I was more politically aware than the average person, but you taught me many things about our government that I did not know - such as "base-line budgeting" and "discharge petitions". Even when you were not available to do the show, I "met" many wonderful people when they subbed for you, like Tony Snow, Walter Williams, and Jason Lewis. I learned about Thomas Sowell and other great conservative writers from you. Congratulations, Rush, on 20 wonderful broadcast years and may you continue for as many years as it takes for all of America to agree with you!

I was listening in Sacramento when you began locally. I’ve said this before...you could walk through the HUUUUGE Sacramento Army Depot maintenance buildings during your show and listen without missing a word. You’d just pass from one radio to the next...all tuned in to YOU.
