Then don’t. No one’s holding a gun to your head.
But I’m sure you’ll enjoy the pro-choice policies of the Obama administration much more than you would those of a McCain administration.
And I’m sure you’ll enjoy the Supreme (and federal) court opinions of the Obama administration much more than you would those coming from McCain appointees.
The “choice” - this time - is yours.

Perhaps I can explain the logic of it, as I see it.
If McCain will not pick an anti-abort VP choice, how can we possibly trust him to pick an anti-abort SCOTUS nominee? We already know that Obama would pick pro-aborts, but they'd also be radical liberals in many other ways, as well. Faced with the choice of asking all Republicans, and Blue Dog Democrats in the Senate to oppose a radical liberal Obama appointee, versus dealing with trying to get Republicans to oppose their own party's President's pick (who may well just be another famous 'compromise' with the Rats), I'd rather have the former.
DemonRats have no idea how to deal with a conservative borking. The last Rat nominee approved to the Court was that idiot Breyer, and that was in 1994, way before most Americans had the Internet. With the ability to sound the alert like never before, we even got our own lunk-headed President to ditch Harriet Miers in favor of the really great Justices that did get on the Court.
The only Justices likely to be replaced in the next four years are the hardcore liberals, anyway. We can keep borking whatever Obama sends up there, for as long as we need to. If that asshat Stevens, or that hag Ginsberg refuses to retire, tough Shiite. If one of them croaks, then we have a 5-3 majority, or at worst, a 4-4 split, which does not set precident.
I don't really want to see John McCain's first nomination, I'm certain that it will disappoint me greatly. I'll use his VP pick as the sign of just how much of the conservative movement he's willing to sell out.

I like conversions, too, but get suspicious when they change their position just to get elected (or become VP).
VPs often become Ps. Time to stop this from happening now.
But it’s not too late. McCain didn’t pick a running mate yet. Take a few minutes and contact Senator McCain and tell him how important it is to you that he pick a pro-life, conservative (if it is important to you).

Ridge is creepy.
Even if pro-life weren’t a problem, McCain would make a mistake picking Ridge.
Not only is Ridge antilife, but he is WEAK on defense, and even against Reagan’s ABS.

And while some will simply accept whoever McCain picks, and vote for McCain regardless, you and I, and Rush’s caller, are trying to do something about it before it’s too late.
I heard Rush’s caller, and she was DYNAMITE, so I took the liberty of copying a bit of her call where you left off:
“CALLER: Yesterday I called up the campaign headquarters for Senator McCain. He’s my Senator here from Arizona, as you know.
RUSH: Yes.
CALLER: And I told the very nice staffer on the other end of the line, that I had a lot of concern about the fact that I heard that the Senator was going to put a pro-abort on the ticket with them. My concerns were this: that the Democrats always stick together no matter what. I have a pro-life friend in South Carolina that is going to vote for Obama because he’s a Democrat, but Republicans are not that way. Republicans will punish candidates if they veer from what they think (especially the conservatives) is important for them. The pro-life issue is very, very important. My own husband said, “That’s the last straw. That in no way means that an Obama will give us anything even resembling Reagan. Having Carter as our President gave us radical Islamic control of Iran, who knows what damage Obama might do to this country in 4 years. At this time I do not believe that we can risk finding out. I will take 4 years of McCain and hope a stronger conservative will rise to take his place or that McCain will be more conservative once he gets into office. That to me is a more sound risk than risking an Obama Presidency.
A risky gamble at best. It is like throwing the baby out with the bath water. What is to say that the Republicans will “Bork” a McCain nomiee? Just because Harriet was shot down does not mean it can be repeated. At any rate I think we are at too important of a crossroad for this country to even contemplate risking having an Obama Presicdency. I will vote for McCain and hope that eirther a strong conservative will arise in 4 years or that McCain will actually be more conservative than we think he will be. To me that is the less risky risk than risking 4 years with Obama in control.
Each person will do what they think is best, but if Senator McCain picks a pro-abort, I can’t trust him to pick an originalist judge, either.
But that’s neither here nor there at the PRESENT TIME. Together we can ask McCain to pick a pro-life, conservative, and here’s the info.:

btw, I heard on tv tonight that McCain was taking a hard look at Romney, who is better than Ridge, Lieberman or Gov. Crist, but Romney did allow money for abortion in his universal health plan in MA.
bttt. Crist’s marrying a millionaire and he’s trying to keep a low profile. If McCain picks Crist, I will not vote. Crist is as phony as Barack Obama. Unemployment in Fla is 6.6%. Don’t get me started.
Crist isn’t getting married until DECEMBER, ya know, after the election?
