Sen. Joseph Biden - Bearing false witness...

In 1972 Sen. Joseph Biden, the Democrat nominee for vice President, lost his wife and young daughter in a car accident. Losing your family in a auto accident is a gut wrenching tragedy, to be sure. No one underestimates that and no ever blamed Mrs. Biden for the accident.

Right up there with despicable things one human can do to another, is falsely accusing the innocent of a crime. “Bearing false witness” is even in the 10 commandments, but Mr. Biden’s feigned Catholicism doesn’t let that stop him.

Last night CBS Inside Addition reports, “In a striking moment in December 2007, he opened his heart to University of Iowa students. "Let me tell you a little story. My wife and three kids were Christmas shopping for a Christmas tree, a tractor trailer, a guy who allegedly, and I never pursued it, drank his lunch instead of eating his lunch, broadsided my family, killed my wife instantly, killed my daughter instantly, and hospitalized my two sons."

Out on the stump recently and for years, Biden has repeated this charge. Lately, he has tried to soften it with the thought that he doesn’t know if the semi truck driver was drunk...., “ I never pursued it”. He didn’t follow the case about the death of his wife and child? Give me a break.

The court certainly did. The driver was never charged and was cleared of any wrong doing. Mrs. Biden, driving a station wagon full of kids and a Christmas tree pulled into the truck’s path. The driver, also a victim, had not been drinking and for the years before his death his reputation suffered with the false charge that Biden put out in the public for sympathy and political gain.

He will use his dead family and an innocent fellow American for his own personal profit. Don’t be surprised when he uses the rest of us.

Was Biden McGovern's running mate?

Liberals are allowed to have their “versions of the truth.” Ask Dan Rather. Michael Moore............. Lying is acceptable behavior, as long as it leads to the desired end.

It's sad for his wife. Nonetheless, the truck driver isn't a bad guy and Bidens attacks on him to self embellish and bask in sympathy, as liberals also like to do, is sickening.

Edwards invoked his wife’s illness and his son’s death to get ahead. Ted talked about how much his family sacrificed (but not about Mary Jo). There should just be a polite moritorium on these kind of political panderings.

Joe Biden is a disgusting piece of crap, and this proves it.

He is a user—using his dead wife and child for his own selfish purposes.

I can’t express how little I think of this man.

Catholic??? No way, no how, no Biden!

If you can, make it personal. Show people the face of the driver, give his name..... A nameless faceless person is easy to bury. Show people that this is a real person Biden stepped on in his personal self interest and appeal to sympathy. Biden is the one that attacked, Biden is the one that ruined his reputation, the driver did nothing wrong......... So Biden should have no problem when he’s confronted with his own words, his own decisions.

“Edwards invoked his wife’s illness and his son’s death to get ahead. “

He sure did. Democrat hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Since he used this lie, it would be nice if someone printed the truth for the poor tractor trailer driver who was false accused. Imagine how this poor guy's family must now feel. Sh!! like this gets to me. This whole RAT party is sick.

OMG, to exploit the death of his wife and child this way.

To slander the driver of the truck.

There are lies and there are damned lies, and this is a damned lie spoken by Biden.

Reminding me of the suffering caused by the lies and damned lies told by Kerry and his winter soldiers.

God help this country if the likes of obama and biden are elected.

I couldn’t remember the name of McGovern’s running mate, but I was pretty sure it wasn’t Biden. I was making a joking point about the way the first sentence of the article was worded. By wording it “In 1972 Sen. Joseph Biden, the Democrat nominee for vice President, ....” the author unwittingly implies that Biden was the VP nominee in 1972.

I left the driver’s name out, though it was very public for these years. The family said he suffered greatly over the deaths of Mrs. Biden and the child. Then Biden heaps on some lies to destroy the rest of his life.

Perhaps you are right.

Curtis C. Dunn, 43, of Kaolin, PA, who died a few years ago.

“Except there was no drinking. There was not even speeding. The truck’s brakes checked out, as well. It was not the driver’s fault.

Biden insisted Wednesday in a brief telephone interview from Iowa he told the story as he knew it.

“All I said was what I heard at the time. What I heard from folks at the time is he’d been drinking,” Biden said, sounding agitated. “I don’t want to talk about it. . . . She must have pulled out. . . . It’s still painful to talk about 35 years later.”

Sad event, but at the time Biden accused the truck driver of drinking, and he wasn't. So it seems his wife got distracted, and sadly her fault. Biden lying about the truck driver - even in his grief - may make it a reason, but not an excuse.
Can he face a challenge if it comes on him again? What are his instincts going to be THIS TIME?
