Sen. Joseph Biden - Bearing false witness...
TheTownCrier ^ | Aug. 28, 2008 | TheTownCrier

In 1972 Sen. Joseph Biden, the Democrat nominee for vice President, lost his wife and young daughter in a car accident. Losing your family in a auto accident is a gut wrenching tragedy, to be sure. No one underestimates that and no ever blamed Mrs. Biden for the accident.

Right up there with despicable things one human can do to another, is falsely accusing the innocent of a crime. “Bearing false witness” is even in the 10 commandments, but Mr. Biden’s feigned Catholicism doesn’t let that stop him.

Last night CBS Inside Addition reports, “In a striking moment in December 2007, he opened his heart to University of Iowa students. "Let me tell you a little story. My wife and three kids were Christmas shopping for a Christmas tree, a tractor trailer, a guy who allegedly, and I never pursued it, drank his lunch instead of eating his lunch, broadsided my family, killed my wife instantly, killed my daughter instantly, and hospitalized my two sons."

Out on the stump recently and for years, Biden has repeated this charge. Lately, he has tried to soften it with the thought that he doesn’t know if the semi truck driver was drunk...., “ I never pursued it”. He didn’t follow the case about the death of his wife and child? Give me a break.

The court certainly did. The driver was never charged and was cleared of any wrong doing. Mrs. Biden, driving a station wagon full of kids and a Christmas tree pulled into the truck’s path. The driver, also a victim, had not been drinking and for the years before his death his reputation suffered with the false charge that Biden put out in the public for sympathy and political gain.

He will use his dead family and an innocent fellow American for his own personal profit. Don’t be surprised when he uses the rest of us.

Sorry I didn’t word it to meet your approval.

Are you the author? I neither approve nor diapprove of the wording. I merely pointed out what the words, as written, appeared to mean when I was pretty sure it was not as intended. (Intent and actual meaning are often different.)

What do the Teamsters have to say about acusing one of their brothers of drinking and driving. I thought the Dems were pro union. There should be a lot of upset truck drivers and Teamsters.

If only they knew. This is an election being won on ignorance.

” Ted talked about how much his family sacrificed (but not about Mary Jo “

When he was speaking the other night, both my wife and I commented on watching someone who in our opinion got away with murder have all types of praise heaped upon him.

Its as if Mary Jo never existed.............

How typical of a Democrat—to assign blame to an innocent party.

If anyone is to blame, it is Joe himself. It’s the dad’s job to haul home the Christmas tree. Why didn’t “Home Every Night” Joe do this for his young family?

Joe Biden also bore false witness in his questioning of Clarence Thomas in his Supreme Court Nomination hearing.

He took a line of a piece written by Mr. Thomas out of context. The two sentences that followed the line that Mr. Biden asked Mr. Thomas about totally negated the statement that Mr. Biden was trying to push forth as Mr. Thomas’s “approval” of an activist role for the courts.

Mr. Biden should have been censured for his lie by omission.

Al and Tipper Gore threw musicians and store clerks under the bus to get ahead too. Remember the Senate subcomittee PMRC hearings?

It got Gore on the national stage, in 1988 it gave him facetime enough to run for the White House. He ran again in 1992 and got two terms as VP. He ran again in 2000.

Don’t hear much about the “evil” entertainment trash being pumped out anymore, eh? Now it is evil American corporations killing the planet. And those entertainers (except a few who were trashed by the Gores) support them publicly.

Beware of those who will trash your name for their own advancement, no ill will intended personally, y’see.

Thanks for posting. Very interesting. A tragedy. An error in judgement. An accident.

As opposed to a pre-meditated lie.

“...or to shrug off the lies and become an honest man worthy of respect both by one’s children and contemporaries.”

“And he who is not sufficiently courageous even to defend his soul- don’t let him be proud of his ``progressive’’ views,a dn don’t let him boast that he is an academician or a people’s artist, a merited figure, or a general—let him say to himself: I am in the herd, and a coward.”

from “Live Not by Lies” - Alexander Solzhenitsyn...here...

http://www.columbia.edu/cu/augustine/arch/solzhenitsyn/livenotbylies.html

Joe, you’re a coward, a liar.

Coulter’s column comparing the Edwards scandal to Kennedy’s brought up more details about Mary Jo - ones that I’d challenge anyone to read and NOT come away angry and upset!
