Communism for Dummies by: Malcolm A. Kline, August 28, 2008
Americas so-called intellectual elites remain either smugly ignorant or in outright denial of the Wests struggle with communism that consumed much of the 20th Century and is still too much with us, late and soon. Some historians cannot bring themselves to call Lenin, Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot what they truly are, writer and scholar Lee Edwards noted when accepting an award from the Fund for American Studies. I refer you to the current edition of Websters New College Dictionary in which Hitler and Mussolini are described as dictators while Lenin and Mao are called leaders.
Fidel Castro is given special status as Cuban revolutionary premier. A prolific author and teacher, Edwards was also the recipient of Accuracy in Medias Reed Irvine award for investigative journalism, named after AIMs founder.
As if on cue, the Washington Post tabloid Express newspaper managed to mangle about 20 years worth of history in less than a paragraph in its night out guide on August 27, 2008. Dalton Trumbo is famous for two things: Johnny Got His Gun, the stunning anti-war novel about a young soldier living inside his own head after a devastating injury, and for not cooperating with McCarthys anti-communist tribunals and being summarily blacklisted, the Express informs us. After that, he could no longer work and there went his career.
Trumbo rushed Johnny into print during the Hitler-Stalin pact, when American communists followed the Soviet Unions orders in protesting U. S. involvement in the fight against Nazi Germany;
The tribunal that unfriendly Hollywood screenwriter Trumbo refused to cooperate with was the U. S. House Committee on UnAmerican Activities on which Senator Joseph McCarthy, R-Wisc., never served; and..

Of, course. The Democrats have to dumb the population down to get what they want. It is socialism-by-stealth, or, incremental liberty-rot.
There is no difference between communism and socialism, in effect, except, perhaps the speed at which things break-down. Or, one is murder and the other is suicide.
They are both soul-crushing “ideals” when put into practice.
The “redistribution of wealth” fast becomes the redistribution of sacrifices. “Brotherly love” fast becomes brotherly suspicion. To work/sacrifice “For the common good” fast becomes: What the hell for? why bother?
Contrast this with what capitalism/freedom (inseperable, btw) has brought us here in America.
Senator Barack Obama is a socialist—he won’t ever admit to it. Just like your average thug won’t admit he’s a liar and a thief.
It is plain-as-day to a free man.
If you think your taxes are high now—if you think the government is too much in your business and life now, you haven’t seen anything.
You have been free—your family and loved-ones have been free. You have no concept, really, of what it will be like when you freedom is trully diminished.
Imagine looking at your paycheck and seeing that the bulk of it is sucked-up by a new, higher income tax; a new health-care tax, etc.
Imagine keeping maybe 40% of what you earn?
And you haven’t even paid sales tax, property tax, vehicle registration, utility taxes, the new global warming tax (payable to the UN), and on, and on, and on...
OK, so you have 20%, or so, left—enjoy it! Don’t spend it all in ONE PLACE.
Send you kids to college? You will have to fill-out the government forms proving your child is “worthy” of an education sponsored by the people. Private schools, home-schooling?—You must be joking.
Need surgery at 65? There are many younger people who have not lived as long as you (and who still bring in revenue), so please fill-out this request for immediate care and we will get back to you. Afer all, what makes YOU so important?
Think it isn’t possible?
We poor saps in California with already high cost-of-living, and if Scwarzenegger’s budget passes, will be paying taxes equal to the European socialists—this is not an exageration.
Freedom is sick in America—sicker than it has ever been since her inception.
If free people don’t act now then the formerly-free will witness their children as full-on slaves of the state.
