BRISTOL PALIN'S BABY BUMP AND LEFTIST BLOGGERS
http://genelalor.com/ ^ | SEPTEMBER 1, 2008 | GENE LALOR

Posted on 09/01/2008 2:57:57 PM PDT by Gene Lalor

“..birds do it, bees do it/ Even educated fleas do it/ Let’s do it, let’s fall in love.” –Cole Porter

Most people realized that Porter wasn’t singing about the birds and the bees or even about falling in love back in 1928 when he wrote, “Let’s Do It.” Back in his time, when a girl “did it” and got caught, she was usually hustled off to a distant relative or to a home for wayward girls.

Times have changed. And now that Republican VP candidate, Governor Sarah Palin’s family has revealed that seventeen year old Bristol Palin is five months pregnant, http://voices.washingtonpost.com/thefix/2008/09/bristol_palin_is_pregnant.html, lowlife, hypocritical leftist bloggers, all virtuous Puritans, no doubt, are having a field day since she obviously “did it.”

The announcement was made to quash their earlier slander that Trig, the five month old Palins’ baby, was actually Bristol’s child which would make Sarah and Todd grandparents.

Then, when the leering lefties noticed what they described as Bristol’s baby bump, they shifted tactics and began saying she was (again?) with child so the Palins, to their credit, decided to clear the air.

Like scavengers falling on a decaying carcass, the licentious lefties, along with the supermarket tabloids, will now feast on this story and attempt to plague Bristol and her family with their cameras and microphones hoping to get some tidbits about how this could happen to such a morally upright, family values clan. I hope they try since it will provide the family’s Secret Service detail with some recreation when they bash heads.

The libs’ Bristol Stomp can and will backfire on them and, on the one hand, I hope they do treat her as they do poptart Jamie Lynn Spears. All their slime will return to them and coat them while redounding to Bristol’s and her parents’ credit.

On the other hand, I’d like to scream louder than that YouTube nut who was so distressed over the media’s incessant harassment of her sister Britney and wanted everyone to just “Leave her alone!”

In case you hadn’t noticed, we live in a sexually loose and permissive culture. A few generations ago, the word “pregnant” was verboten on the Big Screen, a bedroom love scene required that the male lover keep one foot on the floor, and even married Lucy and Desi slept in twin beds with a discreet three feet or so between them.

Now, Baby, virtually anything goes and I’m not sure I should even use “virtually” there. So, here we have pretty, pregnant Bristol Palin, born and raised in a God-fearing, conservative, Christian family which adheres to and preaches Christian values, with parents who oppose sex education in her schools, who surely inculcated in Bristol the importance of chastity and sexual abstinence. However, unfortunately, parental influence and teachings have defined limits and only a cloistered child who is locked in her room 24/7 will be free of contradictory influences.

Where did she go wrong and why did she sin? Here’s a clue: She’s a kid and, governor’s kid or not, she’s a dumb teenager who made a mistake. Dumbteenager should logically be one word since, no matter how book smart they are, by definition teens are dumb in the sense of being immature and impulsive, and, yes, they’re bubbling with hormones. Put those characteristics together and they make errors in their lives, sometimes serious errors the consequences of which change their lives forever.

If I were Bristol Palin’s parent, I’d be proud of her, not because she made a mistake but because she owned up to it. Nowadays, even in Alaska, Planned Parenthood or some other abortion provider would have enthusiatically “taken care of” her little problem and no one would have known about it.

Bristol not only owned up and will, hopefully, carry her baby to term but she plans to marry the father. That makes her different from millions of other young and older girls in America and far different from millions of others who bear children out of wedlock and whose boyfriends then dump them and are seen and heard from no more.

Of course, we will have to see how it all works out and whether Bristol’s boyfriend is as honorable as she but for now, let’s just remember some words to live by: Whoever is without sin, such as liberal bloggers, pick up a blogstone and hurl it at her as Musims still do with real stones. If you happen to be a human being and have your own baggage stuffed with sins, then just wish her the best.

I also wish Governor Palin a great tenure as Vice President of the United States.

A distant relative of my father’s did a family tree of my grandfather’s Norwegian family. Guess what.

There were a bunch of combined weddings & baptisms way back in the 1850’s among the Norwegian fisherman. I counted at east 6 in my family way back then.

People have been getting pregnant before marriage for a really long time.

The more the left tries to hurt this girl, the more that America will disown the left.

Come on you lefty suckers.Lay it on.

Show America and the world what incredibly putrid little slimes you really are.

No one votes for your kind, except people like you. And Americans, TG, are not like you.

And we are here to make SURE America NEVER becomes like you.

This is yet another textbook example of the hypocrisy of the Left. It was a couple of months ago that it was disclosed that the younger sister of Hannah Montana, herself the star of a TV show, was pregnant at 15. As I recall there was very little, if any, uproar from the Lefties. Seems to me I recall many of them didn’t even think the pregnancy should result in the young lady having to leave the hit TV show.

It’s comforting to know that some things never change, and the hypocrisy of the Left is certainly no exception.

The Left’s attacks on the young daughter of a political candidate are not going to sit well even among moderate Democrats. The time-honored line has been crossed of not dragging children through the political mud.

What the left is doing will disgust most middle-Americans. And ‘Crappy Joe’ Biden’s insistance on attacking McCain on a day even Obama agreed isn’t a day for politics - WILL backfire. While McCain is proving he has what it takes to lead during a crisis, the DNC is reminding us of who they really are.

"but she plans to marry the father"

That used to be the norm, but to day it's such a rarity that it's almost unheard of and it's good that Bristol will marry the father.

Furthermore, children do not grow up in a vacuum. Sex is everywhere. Children become pregnant out of wedlock far, far more often than is good for themselves and society. Unfortunately, it also happens to children who have the best of parents and the best of a Christian upbringing.

Does the left really think we're going to abandon Sarah Palin because of it?

Also God bless the girls in Bristol's situation who have their babies instead of aborting them out of convenience so no one will know.

How one handles these kinds of situations is important. Does one do the responsible or irresponsible thing? Bristol Palin has chosen the most responsible option all the way 'round. Prayers for her, the baby and her husband as well as the rest of the Palin family!

The future of the Republicans as a conservative party at the moment seems to reside in two people, Bobby Jindal and Sarah Palin. I hope we can avoid destroying one of them now by accepting the left’s premises as to what is evil and what is good and just arguing on the fringes. Why argue at all? these “charges” should be pretty much ignored. They only sound important when conservatives give them importance.

Uh. Well. If Bristol Palin is five months pregnant, then how could she have given birth four months ago to Gov. Palin’s four month old baby?

DU is reportedly going bananas about how Gov. Palin can’t control her children, so how can she be VP? Well, DU was all sold out to John Edwards, who by God’s grace we escaped having as POTUS, a few months ago, and HE can’t even control HIMSELF!

Liberal Democrats - The gift that keeps on giving.

It is going to be hard for the left to make a real story out of this since the Messiah, unless his was a significantly premature birth, was conceived when his mother was still 17 and unmarried. His parents married 2/2/61, 6 months before he was born on 8/4/61.

I remember reading something a long time ago where someone had studied marriage dates and birth dates in Puritan New England and had concluded that about one-third of first-born children were born less than nine months after the wedding. Of course there could be a few premature births in there, but probably that would be only a small fraction. I don't recall the time frame, whether it was just the 17th century or the whole colonial era.

Nice thing about New England compared to most regions is that the early records are so extensively preserved.

Sorry to inform you otherwise. It is true. Not as widespread as today perhaps but still common enough that I have discovered quite a number in my family tree research that were unwed as couples at the time of birth. Several of them back into the 1780s in Scotland.

The Left is saying it is hypocrisy because Gov Palin supports abstinence for teens and unweds. I really don't see hypocrisy here at all.

I have two children, 8 and 12 years old. Soon this will be an issue with me and my wife, and believe it or not, we support abstinence. Can our kids disobey or disregard our wishes? Of course they can, and there would be little we could do, save lock and key 24/7, to prevent that.

I don't want my kids to smoke, either. So I support laws that don't allow kids under 18 to buy tobacco. Does that also make all of us hypocrites? I mean, some teens, under 18, still choose to smoke.

I don't want my kids to drink alcohol as well. Society and the state doesn't want them to either, and hence the law says you must be at 21 years old to buy alcohol, and yet, once again, kids still drink. Are we all hypocrites because of these laws?

Did I mention drugs? They're illegal for everyone! Yet people still abuse them. A whole war on drugs for 50 years haven't stopped the roughly 5% or so that habitually abuse them despite the laws, penalties, and major disruption to their lives and even death. Are we therefore all hypocrites?

We need to be against bad behavior, and even not so bad behavior when it can destroy lives. That is the moral thing to do. We cannot, however, stop the truly determined or those who don't listen, or succumb to the moment. This does not, and never will make us hypocrites.

It’d be so much fun watching the commercials where O declares he wouldn’t want his daughter “punished” by a baby. There wouldn’t be enough fraudulent votes to buy him Vermont.
