Jeremy Lott has joined Capital Research Center staff as the new editor of the Center's monthly publication Labor Watch. (A full press release is available here.)
"We're excited to have Jeremy on board," said CRC President Terrence Scanlon. "Labor unions are gearing up for the elections and a new administration, and conservatives had better be prepared. We think Jeremy's extensive writing and editorial experience will help us get the word out on labor's political strategies and its public policy agenda."
Lott was previously an editor at the American Spectator, where he was responsible for the Spectator's website content, and served as Warren T. Brookes Journalism Fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. Earlier, he was manager of editorial services at the Cato Institute. Lott succeeds Patrick Reilly, who was named editor in 2003.
Lott's commentaries and reviews have appeared in USA Today, The Washington Post, and Wall Street Journal as well as in the conservative journals National Review, Weekly Standard and Human Events. He has written for the political insider publication Politico and The Guardian in the United Kingdom. He is the author of two books, The Warm Bucket Brigade: The Story of the American Vice Presidency, published by Thomas Nelson (2008) and In Defense of Hypocrisy (Nelson Current, 2006).
