Whoopi Goldberg: Sarah Palin 'Is a Very Dangerous Woman'
Women On The Web ^ | 09/04/08 | Whoopi Goldberg

Posted on 09/05/2008 3:53:43 PM PDT by markedmannerf

I just have to talk about Sarah Palin’s speech a little bit. She gave a really amazing speech, very strong, very strident and it gave the Republicans everything they wanted to hear. They know that she’s a tough chick and she’s a babe and she’s a mom and all those other wonderful things we should be celebrating — the first time I think we’ve ever celebrated all of these things in a woman. Maybe Hillary Clinton wasn’t such a babe but she was defiantly strident and strong and people lost their minds and said how rough she was and how male she was, but I guess if you do it with a smile it makes it a little easier.

But here’s my point, I thought the speech in its body was energizing for Republicans, as I said, and sent them the message they wanted to hear, but what I heard was a lot of meanness and snideness and some inaccuracies and some dismissive talk to community organizers and other people’s adversities. She sort of mentioned the idea after Rudolph Giuliani did — and Rudolph Giuliani is a bonehead to start with, but that’s neither here nor there — but I thought once she began her discussion about community organizers and that they don’t have real responsibilities … I guess I can’t say I don’t know where she’s been living, because she’s been living in Alaska and maybe they don’t have community organizers there but they do in Chicago. Anyone who leaves their gig from school and goes to the people who most need help, that seems to me an admirable American way of thinking.

Any time a celebrity wants to get their name in the news they utter “Nazi”. What the general public is ignorant of is that these media made celebrities are stupid and don't understand what the Nazi's really were.

There is something about Whoopi Goldberg that just sets me on edge. Sort of like nails on a chalkboard. If I see her in a movie or TV show, I immediately turn it off or to another channel.

I literally can't stand the sight of her.

A lot of meanness and snideness?? WG has not been paying attention to the news media and TV media ...

Just what did Obama organize? The only thing he did organize was some slum ... and also told out of work people to “uh uh uh - find work”

(a drink for every ‘uh’ Obama mutters means a drink???)

Leave it to a lib to answer the question that wasn’t asked. What the point was, of course, is that a “community activist” does not get elected, has no responsibiliteis, no one to account to and no real measure of competence - you know, like a teacher!

In one sentence Whoopi chides Palin for “meanness and snideness”. In the very next sentence Whoopi calls Guiliani a “bonehead”. Don’t these people listen to what they say?

Whoopi goes on to chide Palin for contending that community organizers don’t have “responsibility”. Whoopi doesn’t directly dispute that, but instead contends that it is an “admirable” profession. Palin didn’t say it wasn’t admirable, but that it did not entail the responsibility required of a mayor.

Goldberg trades on race.

Her last line about the RNC looking like a “bund rally” really is pretty skanky, even for her.

She’d probably fall over in amazement if she knew the truth about Hitler - that he was a raving leftist, just like her.

Ignorant twa!

I’m very sad because I really like her - at least on the screen.

Sometimes I wonder if my mom was hearing things when she said Whoopi had stated people don’t know what Africa is really like, that it’s horrible and the we’re so spoiled in the US. (To that effect) Mom said she heard/read her saying this way back, but I have to wonder if it’s true.

After her drunken foul tirade against Bush the other year, I really feel I’ve been betrayed.

“....and Rudolph Giuliani is a bonehead to start with...”

I am not a Giuliani fan, but its the “bonehead” that makes me smile. Now let's be good children and not call names. Isn't it a bit hypocritical to claim that Sarah is being snide when you call someone a bonehead in the same sentence?

‘In one sentence Whoopi chides Palin for “meanness and snideness”. In the very next sentence Whoopi calls Guiliani a “bonehead”. Don’t these people listen to what they say?’

Good point.

But you fail to understand.

Democrat/Commies are all about GROUPS. Not individuals.

Thus, you can insult individuals all you want, but don’t DARE make generalized insults against some poor group as a whole.

Dems care more about groups, not real specific individuals.

Couldn’t agree more Whoopee cushion. Palin left her gig at the PTA and ran for Mayor in order to help her community. Before she could be mayor she had to get the endorsement of the voters on what she wanted to do and then she did it. Ditto running for governor. Who asked or endorsed Obama to be a community organizer, whatever that is.

WOW, that was nonsense. Half of the article left me dizzy as to how gullible Whoopi is, swallowing every smear from the MSM in the last week. The other half was a simply a hacky leftist screed that made me wonder whether she is semi-illiterate or really, really bad at articulating her ideas.

Who pays the “community organizer”? Under what gubmint department do they “work”? What exactly were Obama’s responsibilities and who was his supervisor? How much did the Big O earn as a “commie-unity organizer”? This avoidance and fluffing over the questions that are asked will no longer work for Big O. The questions are valid. Being either black or white is no basis why he should be elected.

Big O’s going to need to go back to the drawing board and “reinvent” himself again. . sigh.

Would Whoopi be willing to spend even one night in the filthy, crumbling Grove Parc Chicago housing project that was a product of the sort of policies that Obama championed while he was a Chicago pol?

As if.

Rush had a great explanation of Whoopi’s (limited) popularity. “Liking” her lets people have a good opinion of themselves! They look at her and think “She’s not very good-looking, she’s not very talented, she’s not very smart - and I LIKE HER! Just how wonderful does that make me!”
