As the Huffington Post reports, Russell Brand, British comedian, hosted the MTV VMAs, which is not really political news. However, it's what he said that has everyone astir. Here's one of the ridiculous things Brand had to say:

Again and again, Brand _ a confessed former sex addict _ poked fun at young sex and abstinence. Speaking of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's daughter's boyfriend and would-be father, Levi Johnston, Brand sympathized with him: "That is the safe sex message of all time. Use a condom or become a Republican!

I don't know why a European metrosexual is in America asking us to vote for Obama or why MTV approved of him doing so. It's typical European elitism. They look down upon American traditional values, slamming Bush and Palin along the way, calling Americans stupid in the process. Sound familiar? It's the same thing our elitists in the Media do everyday and have been doing for some time now. Did it ever occur to them that we don't want to be like Europe, especially England: immigration destroying the infrastructure, socialist government, failing socialized healthcare? We kicked them out once. I vote for doing it again.

Being in the music biz, we *used* to watch MTV all the time. The last time I watched the VMAs was when Madonna did a dance that was so disgusting I felt like I had contracted a disease just watching it (20 years ago or so). Now it is blocked and locked so my grandkids can’t see it.

I suspect the political movers that would attempt to use MTV type media to sway young voters may be in for some disappointment. Unfortunately, being stoned frequently has the side effect of making it difficult to remember how to operate the microwave let alone operating a butterfly ballot. So the likelihood people in this crowd will remember to vote or how to vote per the MTV wisemen is remote. Once a vote is triggered based on selecting an audio stream from your cell phone, these people may play a roll in an election.

British Comedian? Hasn't been a good one since Peter Sellers. A very long dry spell indeed. The Brits are becoming more pathetic by the day.
What do they do any more? They make crummy products, the very few products they make. Their women are mostly ugly sluts. They make lousy movies. Their beer sucks. They have lousy food. They have bad teeth. The weather in UK is not very good. Their TV is awful (Masterpiece Theater used to be great but that was a long time ago). They had a great run in Rock Music from about 1963 till 1975 with many great bands. They deserve credit for this but their music has sucked for a very long time.
And to top it off they are going to be Muslim in just a few years because they have given up on having children. The only thing they do is worry about non existent global warming. I guess the biggest problem that England/UK has is all the smart people moved to United States..
