When the night
Seems to say
All hope is lost
Gone away
But I know
I’m not alone
By the light
She stands
There she waves
Faithful friend
Shimmering stars
Westward wind
Show the way
Carry me
To the place
She stands
Just when you think it might be over
Just when you think the fight is gone
Someone will risk his life to raise her
There she stands
There she flies
Clear blue skies
Reminds us with red
Of those that died
Washed in white
By the brave
In their strength
She stands
When evil calls itself a martyr
When all your hopes come crashing down
Someone will pull her from the rubble
There she stands
We’ve seen her flying torn and tattered
We’ve seen her stand the test of time
And through it all the fools have fallen
There she stands
By the dawn’s
Early light
And through the fight
She stands

Sent chills down the spine!
That was excellent - thanks for posting.
That was beautiful. Bookmarked to show my JrROTC son when he gets home from school. Thank you.
Thanks for posting and thanks to Michael W. Smith for his beautiful rememberance of 9/11. May God bless America.
Can someone tell me how I can save that video on my computer.
Thanks, keeping in mind I am pretty lame about the computer.
That was beautiful! I just showed it to my children. We are having a 9-11 civics lesson. Does anyone know where I can get actual news coverage of 9-11-2001. My children were too young to remember but we will never let them “forget”. Today we lowered our flag to half mast, said the pledge, sang the national anthem and had prayer around our flagpole for families that lost loved ones and for our soldiers, police, and firefighters. I am also open to suggestions for any other ideas. If nothing else I will be raising patriotic and God fearing children!
