Does Anyone Know What the Bumper Music is From Glenn Beck's Radio Show
http://www.mikefrancesa.com/wordpress/?p=1020 ^

I hope I am putting this in the right place, my apologies if this post is not allowed. I have been looking all over the internet and I can't find the answer.

Does anyone know the artists and song names of the instrumental music that Beck plays on his radio show?

I'm talking strictly about the instrumentals with the very unique drum beats. He opens the show with a good one, another cool beat near the 30 minute mark and he closes the show with a good one.

There are three or four distinct ones. Maybe it is just made up by the producer but any chance anybody recognizes it as background to a song with lyrics or a specific instrumental song.

Thanks for your help and if this is the wrong forum please redirect me where I can post this question.

Back when Beck made the video O’Hail the Messiah Lord Obama http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvxiG56M-eU, I heard him say that they normally work with a lot of musicians on a regular basis for music on the show. His point was, they could find no one that would help them make the O’Hail video, so one of the staff member’s 70 year old dad who was a former opera singer helped them sing the anthem. I imagine it’s original music. Why not email them at me@glennbeck.com. He was our local talk show guy back in 2001 and I think he’s been using some of that music that long (especially the fusion of entertainment and enlightment them.)

I miss the Schrub Club...do you remember how he used to set up a scenario early in the show and have people call in, assign them parts, then at 5 start with some outlandish premise and the folks tuning in on their way home thought it was for real (sort of a Phil Hendrie show format, but with real callers playing the parts.)

Glenn Beck is the best, the absolute best. Even better on radio than on TV, but good on both.

I worry that he will burn himself out.

During the 2000 recounts, I’ve never laughed harder than I did them. Some of his stuff, back them was soooo good...one bit about strapping Gore and Bush to the front of Nascars then running a few laps and counting the bugs in their teeth to determine the winner, stands out in my mind.

I’m an insider and noticed that they’ve taken some of the good stuff out of the archives (they do have it on CD’s now.) Making of the Wafflehead Sound Track was a great one, and Wilford’s conversation with Jean over “fanticizing about infanticide,” “eye mumps,” and “riddled with SIDS” was a classic.

He does tend to do it all. TV, radio, books (evidently a new one called The Christmas Sweater), magazine, show tours. We went to see his simulcast a few months ago, that was a novel idea and I think he should do that more. Makes his live show accessible to people who don’t live in a particular geographic area (plus the tickets sell out so quickly to the live shows...at least here, that it’s hard to get ahold of them.)

It’s a guy named Stephen Lyons who sings the song, and is titled “we will be the key”. Glenn Beck wrote the lyrics himself

I too am a big Flapp Jackson in the Morning this Morning fan...He got these TV shows and the radio show really suffered, although I do think the TV shows have been good for conservatism.

I guess they did bring back Moron trivia during the “fourth hour”. But the radio show has lost edge. Remember the bit about the live audio from an abortion?

I agree the radio show isn’t as fun anymore. Except when he and Pat are ridiculing Keith Olbermann. Now that’s entertainment!

I think it was Rush that did the caller abortions.

Yeah, I know Rush did “caller abortions”, that was good too. What I’m talking about is a bit where Glenn built up for weeks that he was going to have the first audio of a live abortion on his radio show. He debated it for weeks; he cried, and was torn about doing it. Folks called in—some for it, some against. Finally Glenn decided that the horror of abortion needed to be heard, and that perhaps some good would come of him airing it. Finally the day came, and after some somber words he tapped into the live feed from the abortion clinic.

What followed was 15(!!!)minutes of a speech by Hillary Clinton with crickets chirping in the background. Maybe the best radio gag I’ve ever heard, and completely to the point. Brilliant, entertaining radio.

Another good Beck moment was were he admitted to being in love with his sister, and that they could hide their love for eachother from the world no more. He took many calls and defended his sibling love with zeal. Of course all the mad callers didn’t realize it was april 1st and that Glenn was making a cutting point about “gay marriage”.

Freegards, GET OFF MY PHONE YOU SICK TWISTED FREAK!!!
