McCain BLASTS Obama over Economic Crisis in Ohio Rally (9/16/08)
YouTube ^

Posted on 09/16/2008 3:58:03 PM PDT by GOPinCa

John McCain finally took the gloves off:

“Now I believe America’s best days are ahead of us. Governor Palin and I are going to reform Wall Street. We’re going to reform Washington. I’m going to fight for you and I’m going to lead our nation forward in the greatest periods of prosperity in its history. And let’s have some straight talk. Senator Obama is not interested in the politics of hope, he’s interested in his political future and that’s why he’s hurling in insults and making up facts about his record.

“Today, he claimed that the Congressional stimulus package was his idea. That’s news to those of us in Congress who supported it. Senator Obama didn’t even show up to vote.

“He talks a tough game on the financial crisis, but the facts tell a different story. Senator Obama took more money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac than anyone but the chairman of the committee they answer to. And he put Fannie Mae’s CEO, who helped create this problem in charge of finding his Vice President. That’s not change, that’s what’s broken in Washington.

“He talked about siding with the people, siding with the people, just before he flew off to Hollywood for a fundraiser with Barbra Streisand and his celebrity friends. Let me tell you, my friends, there is no place I’d rather be, than here, with the working men and women of Ohio. I’m going to fight for you and together we’re going to win in November.” (Sen. John McCain, Remarks At A Campaign Event, Vienna, OH, 9/16/08)

Lets make it even more simple. Never invest in any corporation controlled by liberals.

McClatchy, Lehmann Brothers,Freddie Mac and Fanny Mae are real life models of what happens when liberals are in charge of corporations:

Please wise and conservative, never invest your hard earned savings into stock of corporations controlled by liberals.

Dude, when Johnny Mac said it was time for a little straight talk, I knew he was gonna open up a can of whoop @$$! The Mac attack needs to hang Barry’s hypocrisy around his neck all the way to November.

That is a great line, he should shout it from the rooftops.

I know what you mean. I don’t kid myself that John McCain is going to turn into the conservatives’ best friend or anything — Lordy no — but it is absolutely a breath of fresh air to hear someone finally saying out loud many of the things we’ve been saying to each other for a long time. Who knows, maybe Sarah Palin has gotten to ole McJuan too!

McCain BLASTS Obama over Economic Crisis in Ohio Rally (9/16/08)

Keep it up, McCain!!!
I just heard on TV that Obama doesn't want any sort of investigation
about the current roiling of the markets.
You can imagine the palpable fear Obama has if the raiding of
Fannie Mae/Freedie Mac by Clinton cronies ended up getting about
100 hours of objective reporting.
(OK, I know it would only be 20 hours at most...all on Fox News
Channel and Fox Business Channel)

McCain wasn't just on today. His speech was tightly structured, delivered with emotion but absolutely in control. He was correctly using the financial terms, especially using "instruments" It gave his speech a knowledgeable tone. His hits on the haloed one were measured and absolutely undeniable. He never showed for the vote and he is having a $28K per plate dinner with the Hollywood elite. His words actually brought TR to mind. For a change Mccain was the star and not Palin.

The old naval aviator is strapping himself into his Skyhawk for one last vital mission for his country. Fair winds and following seas, John McCain.

Meanwhile, as of 5 minutes ago, CNN was showcasing Obama's attack on McCain because McCain said that the fundamentals of the economy are still strong.

This is the way to victory for McCain. Expose his paper-thin, liberal record.

On another note, I’m really disappointed. I live about 30 miles up the PCH from Babs, and she didn’t invite me to her Malibu fund-raising bash tonight.

Good to see McCain and Palin are updating their speeches and messages. I was getting tired about hearing about Iraq and the surge.

The number one issue will be the economy, and we can’t afford to see that to Hussein Obama.

What is amazing about this is $125,000 that Obamba recieved was not only the second highest ... he did it in less than 4 years! Zero needs to be burned everyday about this!

And tonight Obama is having a nice $28,500 a plate fund raiser with the Libs in Beverly Hills while McCain and Palin have a sit down meal in a local diner with the good ol' folks!

By the way, does anyone know what is happening here on FR? I am constantly getting errors...it takes forever to get on the threads and forget about posting.

What do you want to bet that McCain gets away with less than $15 a plate at the local diner tonight? And that will include a slice of homemade pie a scoop of ice cream and a good cup of coffee ... and the best part ... some good ol’ down home company and some meaningful talk!!!

I heard that on Rush today--and it really angered me. So--I did what my best friend ALWAYS tells me to do when I feel frustrated about things over which I, personally, have no control. Her advice? "Just pray".

So I did. I prayed--earnestly and specifically--for God to give McCain the courage and wisdom to "tear down" the lies that the Democrats have consistently put up to shield their actions from the light of day.

Then, within an hour, I found a thread about what McCain said at the rally.

Just another illustration of the truth contained in one of my husband's favorite lines: "Just remember, our snakes can eat their snakes!"

I don’t know what was said about Bush (he did push for more minority ownership) but there are Republicans taking up top spots in Fannie Mae money too. The question is when did they get their contributions and did they vote for or against McCain’s 2005 bill. Fair is fair.
