“How many people here have *no* idea where their birth certificate is and/or can not produce it upon request?”

I’ve got mine. A photocopy of the original with the doctor’s signature, with raised stamp, all official-like. All I had to do was send a nice letter to the state vital records office, with a small processing fee.

I’ve got my original.

Hubby was a welder/metal fabricator for the state prison and when we got married, I had to bring that, my social security card and my driver’s license in so I could be added to his health insurance plan.
