I believe there is one word for why we are destroying ourselves from within....
DIVERSITY
Some may call if affirmative action, others mulitculturism, others might just call it welfare, but regardless of the name the push for diversity and the attack on the family and our American unity is driving this country into the ground. You can not speak out lest you be called homophobic, or racist or bigot, etc.... This is how we have gotten to where we are with the financial crises and this is why the country is so divided with so much hate - the left has pushed this in our schools, churches and govt and we are infected with the disease known as “diversity”.
I believe there is one word for why we are destroying ourselves from within.... we stopped believing and obeying God.

Even the knee jerk democrats in the unions and regular workers hate quotas-PC Diversity etc etc
BUT they vote for the democrats out of brand loyalty and when you point out that it is the democrats behind all that they hate you get a blank stare
Brand loyalty whether in politics or products is stupid but extremely hard to convert
