After allegations surfaced in early summer over the 'New Party's' endorsement of Obama, the Obama campaign along with the remnants of the New Party and Democratic Socialists of America claimed that Obama was never a member of either organization. The DSA and 'New Party' then systematically attempted to cover up any ties between Obama and the Socialist Organizations. However, it now appears that Barack Obama was indeed a certified and acknowledged member of the DSA's New Party.

It is McCarthyism to ask if he was ever a member of a Socialist Party. Just ask the Communists in the 1930s and 1940s and 1950s and 1960s and 1970s who refused to confirm it.
By the way, Communist Party USA has endorsed Barack REDACTED Obama in the 2008 presidental election.

And this will be found by the MSM to ‘not be relevant’ while they go on and on ad nauseum about the Alaska Independence Party that held their convention in Wasilla and Gov. Palin gave a video message to and her husband was once a member of.

I've also been very interested in why no one has been able to get to Obama’s college transcript and information. No one knows how he performed in college and consequently, how he ended up getting into Harvard (most suspect AA). I can't help but wonder IF he was involved in socialist groups, had terrible grades, or what he is hiding. Any way to get this information?

Well, SOME of us already knew this, but the general public does not....and his campaign has been deriding any such *suggestion.*
I found the following portion of this archive VERY interesting because of its mention of VOTER REGISTRATION:
“...the NP’s ‘96 Political Program has been enormously successful with 3 of 4 endorsed candidates winning electoral primaries. All four candidates attended the NP membership meeting on April 11th to express their gratitude. Danny Davis, winner in the 7th Congressional District, invited NPers to join his Campaign Steering Committee. Patricia Martin, who won the race for Judge in 7th Subcircuit Court, explained that due to the NP she was able to network and get experienced advice from progressives like Davis. Barack Obama, victor in the 13th State Senate District, encouraged NPers to join in his task forces on Voter Education and Voter Registration.”

ELECTORAL SUCCESS TO DATE Since its founding in 1992, the New Party chapters have backed roughly 300 candidates - and more than 200 have won their races. Roughly half of our candidates are women; more than a third are people of color.
Illinois: Danny Davis (U.S. House of Representatives, 1996, 1998), Miguel Del Valle (Illinois State Senate, 1998), Willie Delgado (Illinois State Legislature, 1998), Barack Obama (State Legislature, 1996), Michael Chandler (Chicago City Council , 1995), , Patricia Martin (Cook County Judge, 1996).
