JM is running out the clock, but he does know its over.

Which is precisely where this lecture to his supporters came from.

He wants his reputation back when he returns to the Senate, he wants good press again, so his legacy is assured.

Exactly... I’m starting to hate him almost as much as ZeroH... He’s doing what you expect him to do... You KNOW he’s the enemy... McCain’s supposed to be on our side... What a joke

Imagine the press accoldates, and the backslapping he'll get

he gets a 2-fer... He gets to make history by helping elect the 1st... And he destroys conservatives throughout the nation,,,

think about it... In hindsight, it looks like it was all in the works... Huckabee coming out of nowhere to block FDT and Romney... The FIX is in...

I've changed my tagline.. Flame away

wat da hell is Mc thinking? doesn’t he know the election is a war? this is treason! aiding and abetting the enemy! I suppose this is more of his ‘hands across the aisle’ crap. actually, he doesn’t have to reach across the aisle. he is comfortably seated in the middle of the Dems side. Mc Cain is Obama lite. is there some way we can change the ticket to put Sarah for pres, and McWhatshisname for veep? me gusdusted!

Wow just watched the video - McCain coming off like a weak version of ‘96 Bob Dole. I honestly believe he doesn’t want to win this election.

It’s the RNC’s fault IMHO. McCain is the nominee because he won the NY and CA primaries - irrelevancies as to the conservative party nominee’s ultimate November success. We need Newt and Palin to get control of the party apparatus and stop the bi-partisan insanity. Conservatism isn’t dead or even descending, it just has no leadership.

What?!

Is McCain nuts? He acts like an old farm dog that’s been whipped too much.

Is it possible the imprisonment and torture he is so proud of affected his mind in ways he cannot even recognize?

I seems like every time the going gets tough, he rolls over and starts ingratiating himself - offering to suck the nearest tool he can find...

Perhaps he is hoping to be the poster boy for the next “new” psychological malady: PBS (prison b*tch syndrome)

Is Sarah Palin the only real man in this whole race?

well said.

I’m SO disgusted right now.
I just CANNOT believe we are going to have a Marxist for POTUS. It is inevitable.
I’m not even going to watch the television coverage at ALL on election night. I just do not have the stomach for it.

“..McCain is Obama lite.”

Best line I’ve seen in awhile.
I’m borrowing it for my new tagline.

This reminds me of that Andy Griffith episode in which Barney decides to run against Andy for Sheriff, but in the end, announces HE'S going to vote for Andy.

Only Obama is CERTAINLY not an Andy Taylor,...

but McCain is definitely an older, angrier “Barney.”

You know, as funny as I though Rush’s “operation chaos” was, I’ve come to believe that the Dems pulled it on the Republicans and that is how we have this senile old fart as our candidate!

They probably pulled some shenanigans in Florida AGAIN (since nothing has improved there in the voting process since 2000). Either the Dems pulled a fast one, or McCain’s own people managed to pull something. I refuse to believe that many Republicans voted for McCain over Romney!

McCain is his OWN October surprise!
Who woulda thunk it?
Well, apparently a lot of folks here at FR.

There was no fix. Back in the summer of 2007, McCain was declared “dead” in the primary. He was polling in the single digits. Then conservatives started to divide themselves up between candidates are started attacking each other. The division caused the favorables of Romney, Thompson and Huckabee to go down. This enabled McCain to slip thru and win NH and SC. If Romney had won NH, then McCain would have dropped. However, Romney getting tripped up by Huckabee’s “I love Jesus” theme in IA made the McCain’s nomination possible. Perhaps in the future, conservatives need to be better focusing on the big picture.

The last two years were not very kind to the conservative base. The perfect storm caused the GOP to lose both the House and Senate in 2006. The perfect storm denied the more conservative Presidential nominees to lose the primary. Now the Wall Street mess is the perfect storm for the first black marxist to be elected President.

Is God punishing conservatives? :)

GOd may very well be punishing conservatives.
As I told a friend, what this tells me is that God does not want us putting our faith in our elected leaders and depending on them to do what we as Christians are supposed to be doing.

God is about to punish this country with a Marxist president. Rev. Wright will get his wish. America will be damned.

So Major, what is a party without leadership?

To think that we sit hear on the edge of losing to this dunce scamming nobody, that we couldn’t find ANYONE other than McCain, truly saddens my heart.

The Dems used the media to beat us and we do nothing but complain. We should be having huge boycotts of cable and satellite companies that are strategically planned through vehicles such as talk radio and this God given website FR.
