ChicagoIn what could only be interpreted as stabbing American parents in the back, Bill Ayers and Senator Barack Obama, D-IL, plan to mandate the reading of The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx in all public schools upon his election as President of the United States.
Elective Decisions has learnedthrough an anonymous spokesperson at the Heritage Foundationthat Bill Ayers would be tapped to head up the Department of Education, thereby changing American schools from within. According to Bill Ayers, this is the kind of policy that is bold and would insert a little anarchy into American schools.
This is a huge step in creating a brave, new America, stated Ayers. Its time the asinine principles of capitalism be thrown out. We owe this to all the workers of the world.

Yeah, Joe, those misguided priciples that included wearing nice powdered wigs, instead of spending the money of hard-working Americans on ridiculously obvious hairplugs...Yet another viscious attack by a conservative. :-)

I’ve always thought every high school student should wright a book report EACH YEAR on Fredric Bastiat’s THE LAW. Required reading for all Americans. It’s only about fifty pages long and is available online.

The Communist Manifesto is too hard for most public school kids (or college students) to comprehend. They need to produce a 4-page comic-book-style edition, like the old Classics Illustrated or The Cartoon History of the Universe.

No offense, writer, but I don’t think this is funny or satire, and if mistakenly read, would lead the uninitiated to believe FR is populated by tin-foil hat idiots.
I truly do not mean to be insulting, but this falls far short of true satire and could be damaging to FR’s reputation. Please consider asking to have this piece deleted.
You and your posts are still very much appreciated.
Of course, maybe it’s just me.

I truly do not mean to be insulting, but this falls far short of true satire and could be damaging to FRs reputation. Please consider asking to have this piece deleted.Aunt Mame is requesting I have this piece deleted. So ping your lists so that this can be put to a vote on whether this is satire or not, and whether this piece should remain.
So the first question: Is this satire?
All those that say it is satire, vote aye.
All those opposed, nay.
Second question: Should the satire piece stay?
All those voting to keep it, vote aye.
All those voting to have the mod delete it, vote nay.
If the vote tends toward deletion, I will ask the mod to remove it so as to not scar FR's good name. However, if the vote tends toward keeping it, then I will report those results to Aunt Mame and the Admin Moderator.
For the full comment, see post #31.
